good vid as always
I had an ephihany today. The catch up mechanic is actually more useful as you eluded to. Rank's 1-3 are generally viewed as useles and in most cases a total lost. Crafters start breaking even or make a little bit of profit from Rank 4 and then it goes up. Using your formula I can determine that if the price of the VOO crafting a Rank 4 w/ VOO is less than the combined cost of a Rank 2 and Rank 3 then it is profitable to me. So in this case if i wanted to level up a legendary item slot
all i would need to throw away is the cost of making fifteen rank 1 of the item then i can go straight away into making a Rank 4 and break even or profit. So this is how it looks like to me:
1. Craft 15 rank 1 items to reach Rank 2
2. Go straight to Rank 4 items crafting Rank 2 + VOO
3. Eliminate the waste from Rank 2 and Rank 3 items.
In this case, the barrier cost for me to get into an item market is the 15 rank 1 items i take a loss on.
This will crash the Rank 5 items to Rank 4 prices but you should still make a profit from this.
