  1. I like that blizzard added something new and most of my guildmates love it. I dont. I am someone who hates pvp and battleroyale style games. I will grind for the cosmetics but once i hit that 40 mark i will be done. But for those who are enjoying hope blizzard brings it back for you

  2. This was a great video but I am still not liking that we are incentivized to go after each other. I would prefer a mode where you kill harder and harder mobs as you get toward the middle and only have to kill each other when there are no mobs left.

  3. Even if you are very efficient and with the buffs to the plunder it takes almost 200 matches to get to renown 40.
Now let's say a match takes at least 5min (do quest then die), that's 200×5 = 1000min, so almost 17h of stupid grind for something most of the WoW players don't even wanna do because they just want the rewards for live.
Good job blizzard. Oh an remember, that means 17h less of playing the actual game.

  4. Blizzard: “We want this to be fun for both non pvp and pvp people.”

    The next day
Diablo dev: “Let’s hot fix it so the non PvP people explode like a treasure goblin. Hehehe. Target, meet back!”

  5. This is horrible BS. Using our sub money to build a spin off mini game they will likely try to sell back to us is beyond unethical. Forced PvP even in kiddie mode isn’t fun. Where is the actual game content?!

  6. It's an ass game mode. It adds nothing to your main character/progression as its a separate game-mode.
    – It's primarily pvp, which means that by design its not for the vast majority of the player base.
    – It's actively promoting griefing because the focus is on plunder so pvp makes no sense what so ever.
    – Controls are abysmal
    – FOMO for basically nothing
    – A cheap asset-flip to try and cash in on the trend known as battle-royals
-They really wasted time and energy on this shit instead of adding something to the main game with worthwhile rewards …

Got in out of it in 20 minutes, and I feel they should pay me for wasting a second on it.

  7. A lot of this video is based on IF you can find the good stuff. I found jack, except for holy shield – it sucks. And that was after minutes of searching. I never saw a quest, have no idea if I ever leveled up, and have no idea how much rep I got, never saw an elite that I know of, and i died right after I got the shield. Complete opposite of Bell's experience. Don't think I'll be participating in this. Huge let down.

  8. If only this stupid effing thing had some sort of tutorial built into it. Ok, so two skill slots are offensive, two are defensive. NICE if the game had explained that to me! There's a quest? Wow, I never noticed. Hell, I never even noticed how to get into the fricken thing until the second day, there wasn't even a patch-day popup toast like there normally always is these days telling me I had to do it via the character selection screen.

    AND SO ON.

That I should have to learn all of this from fricken youtube videos is beyond disgrace. And what the hell is a battle royale doing in WoW anyway? If you want to play a battle royale, GO DO THAT DAMMIT! Why are the devs wasting time on absolute shyte like this timewasting nonsense when they could have created stuff for ACTUAL WoW.

And why can't I stay in the pirate town area indefinitely practicing, testing different skills, adjusting my keys and so on before queuing for a game? Everything is just so badly designed and executed, on every single goddamn level.

Getting to 40 (why not 400, guys! MISSED FOMO OPPORTUNITY!!!) is going to be genuine torture.

  9. I can appreciate Blizzard trying new things, but no one asked for this Fortnite-esque meta game. Dropping in thinking the mechanics were straightforward and that PvP was optional, turns out to be hot garbage.

  10. I hate Plunderstorm….. its hard to do anything when people are just ganking you continously. It's stupid, I hate pvp, I hate mobas, I hate all games like them and never wanted this stuff in the MMORPG I have been playing for years and years… now cool t-mog is behind it…. its like janky ESO pvp.

  11. this whole "guide" is a bit of a "let them eat cake" take on things – oh just use all these awesome aoe abilities
what if you don't get those awesome aoe abilities?
I don't think anyone needs to be told to use awesome aoe abilities if they get them. that is not a tip or a guide. that's just common sense

  12. I realize some people will enjoy this mini game. I also realize some people like Lutefisk, google it.

Blizzard teases players with a pirate banner on the WoW Patch Timeline. 10.2.6 drops. No pirates IN GAME! No content IN GAME! Nothing, just this…thing. I tried it and got bored. No transmog is worth the mind numbing slog this is.

  13. SERIOUSLY THIS IS FORT-NIGHT RE-SKIN blizzard is joke if we/i wanted to play another game/system wouldn't we go play another game or system this is shameful waste of money & resources. blizzard/world of warcraft does the bare minimum and try's play it off like they invented the wheel!!!! this so disappointing.

  14. Hey Bell do you think this marks the end of the Narrative for Retail? That after the World soul Saga rather than a narrative story line they are going to focus on game modes and seasons rather than continue the overall narrative of World of Warcraft? It seems like they are setting the game up to mark the World soul Saga as the end of the World of warcraft Narrative. Just my POV outside looking in. 🤔

  15. All this mode proves is people, after nearly 20 years of wow, will still ignore the most effective ways to gain exp and 'win', just to knuckle drag their way to fight other players. Then complain that the mode is slow to level. This mode is full of people you'd find fighting on roads and ignoring objectives in AB lol

  16. Fun times.. people tryharding the hell of this dumpster fire. I'm getting anywhere from 10 to 200 per round. In quite a few games I get killed within seconds of landing by someone who already has multiple abilities. Nearly everyone I die to uses the same couple of abilities. I did manage 1000+ in one round once. In a few, I got nearly instakilled by elites I couldn't see when landing because WoW in 2024 still takes ages to load in mobs for reasons.

  17. I love the pirate theme and the whole vibe of this event, but I really dislike that it's PvP oriented. I don't enjoy it at all, and if I wanted to play Fortnite, I would just play Fortnite. I appreciate that the team is trying new things, but I'm not interested in World of Everygamecraft.
