I usually don’t start making alts until the end of the expansion, but seeing as how 9.1 will launch when Half-Life 3 does, I think I have enough time to make a renown catch-up guide. lol

  1. Again this isn't a definitive list, so if you have any suggestions for folks then feel free to share. ^^ I personally find the raid/M+ options to be the most efficient and likely to give renown though the other options do have some benefits to them (and in some cases, are required!)

    Hopefully this information will help folks getting started late in Shadowlands to catch up, as renown is a huge factor in your potential power. ^^ Have a great day!

  3. Great guide. Helpful not just for Alts but I’m sure plenty of people swapped covenants on their main with the 9.05 tuning. I swapped not long ago and using all the methods you described , as well as completing the campaign, got to 40 renown in about a week.

  4. Man, getting renown nowadays is such a drag. Not to be a negative nancy but there are just a lot of things in Shadowland Systems just make things a lot less fun and far more tedious. Surprisingly enough, I happened to get my MM Hunter to renown 10 before I reached level 60 as her by running BGs while completing all 4 covvy bars.

    But seriously… They really need to make the follow things to make renown catch up grinding a lot more bearable. Such as…

    – Campaigns, they should be optional rather than just reward renown otherwise you'll be gated behind them. Hear me out on this one. Doing campaign on multiple characters especially when they're not 60 SUUUUUUUUUUUCKS. You'd think that I had enough of killing Devos, Margrave Ghermal, Willowblossom and confrontation against Kel'Thuzad along with overthrowing and humiliating Mueh'Zala at this point. Doing this should also unlock SoA, DoS, SD and ToP for alts who are not level 60.
    – WQ giving Renown. Seriously… if they would make ToF a better appeal, they should make WQ give renown. I mean why on earth not?
    – M0, M+, BG, Arenas (Ill advised xD), give decent amount of renown as intended.
    – DUNGEONS BELOW LEVEL 60 SHOULD ALSO GIVE RENOWN.
    – Skip Maw Intro, not related to renown but something to make alts a lot less unbearable. Escorting Jaina is an experience. Dirty jokes or not here, i'm sick of it.

    and finally… this question that actually triggers me the most…

    – WHY IS TORGHAST NOT GIVE AT LEAST A RENOWN LEVEL OR LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE OTHER THAN SOUL ASH!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
