  1. Why i must care? As long u can't sell yours, im happy. I made 500k profit everyday by doing this and receive dozen of complaint mails from another goblins. This how i deal with AH babysit goblin who keep undercut me within secs.

  2. I would give 2 other reasons for stuff being sold under cost. The first is what I would call "student projects". If crafting an item gave you a skill point, it had more value that just what you sold it for. If I am levelling enchanting, and I craft "eternal" enchantments to level to 115, I can just consider those enchantments as stepping stones to allow me to craft enchanted legendary mats. So any items that are crafted "on the way" to max out a profession tend to be undercosted.

The second thing concerns the lack of barrier of entry, so most SL markets, except for a few things like high rank base lengendaries, crafter's mark ii and a couple other things (shadestones…). Even people, like me, that are not goldmakers would mostly have more that 1 character, and can level professions easily and cheaply. So there is not much value added as a crafter if everyone can craft their own stuff. And in that kind of a free-for-all world, where the marginal cost of crafting is "afk for a small amount of time", and the fact that crafting is not reversible (every marrowroot spent into a flask is locked into that item, and cannot be used for anything else, such as a potion of phantom fire), it is perfectly understandable and rational that the processed items would be worth less than the raw mats that can give you more options.

  3. I simply don't sell… Drums for example has a material cost of 103g and there are people selling for 106 gold…. I won't sell, i stock and wait for people to buy it all… I always look into my raw gold and and alt maniac…. How much gold can i make logging out of my main and doing callings…. If my profit will be less then 3%…. Sorry I won't spend 100k gold and craft for 30 minutes so I can profit 3k gold…. If i farm the callings i'll have fun and do more gold.
