am I going to crazy?? I coulda sworn they teased an Uldaman picture as well?? it’s far more fitting with the old god story they’ve pushed out in P1.
regardless, an SM raid would be highly welcomed. I’m almost certain it would be 2 condensed wings, as opposed to 4. no reason it can’t be 1 though.
I’d be pleasantly surprised if it’s a littler longer than BFD, but I might be in the minority saying that haha.
That map is never been a secret. It was well know SM was gonna be a high level raid in the Alpha. They changed plans and cut it in 4 and added some hallways to create the 4 new instances instead. There is an old map from the alpha development phase, the one where you can see the Dragon Isles, where you could see the SM labled as raid.
I think most if not every single people that knew this fact, thought of SM being a raid since the SoD announcement. I don't see it as being a big surprise, but it will be realy neat. Also, i don't think is a theory, more like a fact already.
If armory/cathedral are unlocked in phase 2, we'll be spending so much time in SM that having the raid also be SM in phase 3 seems like too much SM…. I hope its either locked off in season 2, or season 3 raid is different or an even more different version of SM than you're suggesting.
I'm pretty sure it's going to be Sunken Temple. It makes sense based on how they've done phase 1 and 2 with the raids being not so popular instance. Sunken Temple would fit that and also being level 50 they could update the class quest for Sunken Temple to be a really good item. Make a class legendary for the quest.

I don't think they make SM a raid strictly because the Alliance run to the instane is brutal.

Sorry to bust this theory but there is some information you obviously didn't have before making this video. The entirety of SM was available at launch. The two instances were closed and that 'level 20' message was placed there midway through SoD to keep players out.
They are going to use the unused area in Eastern Plaguelands for the SCARELT CRUSADE raid, while keeping SM open for leveling.
Armory was unlocked at first; Xaryu + a group of hunters tried to run it and it got locked while they were in it. The rumor was that it got locked because bots were flyhacking in there to loot chests and stuff.
i think that the SM and Kara raid in P3 and P4 are gonna be new instances (obv for kara) so i think the SM raid is gonna be in the area WPL up north with thos scarlet mobs
Release it halfway through phase 2 and make it harder. With the gear from Gnomer it will be easy, but if you skip Gnomer, you’ll struggle. With no phase 1, they could have released another raid easily and it would have been hype.
I don't think we will see a monastery raid just wont make sense leveling with it in phase 2 for it to be the raid in phase 3. I think we will get something scarlett crusade related there is many other places it can be set in. Like Hearthglen
If they add the Kara Crypts without bringing it to retail, that's gonna piss off a lot of people.
I think it's pretty likely they just re-use the alpha SM. The alpha version was combined just like the raid would be, it also had better textures imo.

One of the things i felt that Classic era was always missing was a level 60 Scarlet monastery raid, hopefully they do something good with it!
i would have preferred scarlet monstary as a raid in p2, sunken temple p3 and BRD p4
SM doesn't make sense for p3 being level 50. If they were going to do SM it needed to be the 40 raid. 50 will be the under kara raid imo. I dont think they'll have a new 60 raid right away since there's so many options at 60 already, they'll let mc and bwl carry some time then introduce something.
I'd honestly prefer Maraudon or even Sunken Temple, but Monastery would be acceptable.

I would love a well made BRD level 50 raid, and stratholm 60 raid 😊
More likely a scarlet raid in western or eastern plaguelands. Hearthglen and Tyr’s Hand as well as Stratholme all have a significant Scarlet presence.
SM could something at 40 though
SoD Phase 3 raid is definately gonna be either Zul'Farrak or Sunken Temple.
I can see the logic behind making it a raid… if the dungeon wasn't so crucial for leveling. Taking Scarlet Monastrey out of the pool of level 30-40 dungeons leaves only Razorfen Kraul and Gnomeregon OH WAIT THAT'S THE PHASE 2 RAID.
And since the level cap for Phase 3 is 50, more than likely the raid will either be Razorfen Downs (a unique enemy type of the Quilboar for the raid themes of Classic since the original level 60 raids are Fire Elementals, Dragons, Trolls, Old Gods, Undead, and the SoD raids are Naga+Old God Cultists, then Gnomes and Machines) or potentially Mauradon for the centaur, satyrs and the final boss being an earth elemental.
no they turned off those raids because especially in armory the dog whistle people were raid farming the item for max BFD DPS
Maraudon is big for a Raid content so my guess is maraudon for shure for p3 scarlet won't be for shure should have been now p2 but they skiped it.
