Just a little rant about the state of PVP. Yes I know I suck big pp at PVP and yet, lol. But basically just some feedback for the devs. Hey, I may just be talking out of my ass but all I do know is that things could be so much better. Hear me out.

  1. there are people running around with their S2 SL Glad mount from 2021. People who played this game for 20+ seasons and only got Glad when it got gifted. A participation trophy. Now they cling onto it, thinking they are good. That season alone did so much damage to pvp it's unbelievable. Blizzard should not cater to noobs, who just want their rewards gifted to them for just participating.

  2. first time arena andy compains about beeing suck, you played poorly and 1300 is what u deserve. However MMR is real problem, wildy known.I dare to say it affects 1900+ rating mostly maybe bit lower. And also depeends if its 3V3 2v2 or soloq

  3. There's ALOT to learn and take in when doing 2v2 and 3v3. That alone makes getting into PvP hard. Add to that the fact that Blizzard is PvErs nowadays and we get what we have currently. Sidenote: Watching the video, you are at the rating you deserve which is ofcourse as it should be. Also "getting locked down" is the fault of you and your teammates. It's a team game where people need to support eachother

  4. No PvP handouts! CC is a big part of Arena, and should remain that way. I'm down for people get a small arena rating 1-5 ratin per win or something. But no changes to CC. We already in a melee meta, can't have melee be stronger by nerfing CC

  5. the mmr dictates the players you fight against, you will play against a combination of players that match the average MMR you have. Plus, your CR tends to match your MMR as this: the higher the MMR, more CR you will earn after a match, even losing like 4 rounds. In the other hand, if your CR is equal to you MMR, you need at least 4 wins to grind it up, 3 wins will give you 0 CR, and 2 wins will make you lose CR and MMR, cos the game unterstands that those players are above you

  6. Honestly, look up resources on how to improve, it seems like a lot of the friction you're experiencing is just learning pains. Improve your UI, learn how to position more strategically to avoid CCs, learn how to trade CDs would probably be a huge start and get you into the 1600 range, but by that point you'll have a better sense of how to improve and the various other things you need to learn to keep climbing.

  7. It's understandable that the internet as it exists today coupled with being a self-proclaimed "Content Creator" really promotes the idea that you should give an opinion on everything all the time, but in cases where there is a skill based ladder system and you're at the bottom of it with no time or effort invested that is really not the case. Not that the game doesn't have problems that can be criticized but at least some of your issues are due to your own lack of knowledge about what you're doing. Very little different than making a video about having never done Mythic raids and having a bad time after trying it once. Become a knowledgeable voice first.

  8. Pvp is a game of knowledge. You need to track your diminishing returns. When you say you get locked down for 10sec, what good players would do is pre use a cd to be able to live on your own or understand which cc is coming next and stop it

  9. Arena play isnt for everyone. Think youll find solo rbg (coming with next expansion i think) more to your liking. Arena you need add ons, you need to know your class well, other classes well and if your not running premade comp play you really need to focus on playing an OP class/spec playing a class that shines when in a specific comp doesnt always translate to solo play.

As for getting the gear you can get conquest doing the quests and winning BGs and Blitzs.

  10. Arenas are hard to get into.
You need to invest some time into setting up a UI for PvP, which includes a few addons that are a must in arena.
    And take it slowly.
You will not be good instantly, it will take a while. Just learn small things every day.
Find some friends to play with that are at or around your level / experience. Take it from there!
Eventually you will learn what to do to win games, and how to avoid bad plays.

  11. So weird that people just expected to be handed everything without working for it. Some pve player that wants to be instantly good at pvp without working at it so just complains about being 1400 instead of trying to improve. Great video

  12. Hello, as a fellow newbie to pvp and sargeras set enjoyer as well i found much much easier and less stressful to get 1600 on my main, spend the token you get for either the elite head or shoulder and then level a new demon hunter and get that to 1600. I found 1600 to 1800 was much much more of a grind than getting from 0 to 1600 so thats how i did it.

Also before 1600 you can manage with honor gear, afterward you truly find full sets and conquest geared ppl.

  13. Please just for the love of god blizzard do not take the CC complaints to heart from a 1200 player. You should absolutely buff CC (reduce the amount of micro ccs but buff the durations of fear poly etc.) and not the other direction it's more than PVE faceroll enough at this point.

  14. why do you think everyone should be able to get 1.6? let alone 1.8? might aswell give everyone ksm mounts day 1 while you're at it lol… you feel its grindy at 1.2-1.4 because thats your level of skill. if your mmr and cr catchup to eachother and you've played over 30ish games that is your true rating.

  15. Nice video bro, I really love to see the perspective of non-PvP players. Do ignore hateful comments telling you that you can't have an opinion because of how fresh you are to PvP or your rating. All opinions give insight, and PvP needs new players the most. You do echo a lot of the issues of the community, to my personally the inconsistent ques are the worst thing since I am able to achieve my goals PvP wise, specially after the inflation buff. But I do have a few points of criticism.

The inflation part or your MMR arguments in general, I feel as though you're just echoing sentiments you don't truly understand. Specifically when talking about each season resetting rating, while its good advice ( for them to talk to the Hearthstone team or just look at any other competitive game with rating) this is literally something that does not affect a fresh character with fresh MMR in DF. Since Solo Shuffle matching is MMR based, you're not fighting R1s or even people who played the class from earlier expansions in PvP on any consistent basis. There is no R1s at 1400 MMR unless they are on a fresh character and 1 match later they will be gone from that MMR anyway. Especially at this point in the season, even me jumping on any of my alts we wouldn't be matched.

You might have not wanted to, but you do sound like getting to 1800 was something you simply expect to be able to get, and get with effort alone( or grinding out). While I think there is a severe lack of rewards, specially for the casual players, in PvP, I also think we need to have some rewards tied to some "achievements" in the game. The way you're presenting to me in PvE terms: "You liked a set from a current "solo" raid, so you went to the raid without any research on any mechanics, how to play your class, no DBM, and expecting to get the kill by just wiping over and over again." You might get it one day, but you're making it 10x harder on yourself by doing it that way, and your frustration in this regard would be self-caused. I really think Blizzard does a terrible job teaching players anything regarding PvP, I also think that… in the words of our Lord… YOU ARE NOT PREPARED! for PvP simply. (Apologies if I misunderstood you in anyway)

  16. You need practice dude. You are no where close to being good enough to critique it. For starters your UI isn't tracking a thing. No CD's, no aura's, no gladius, no DR's. Someone with this level of skill being stuck at 1.2-1.4k makes perfect sense. That's when you somewhat start to see people who actually know what they're doing.

  17. Why are you stood behind a pillar at the start while your team mate is pooping cds you should go straight In and pop damage as dh whole game also you need raid frames on and gladius atleast how can you do arena like this no add ons?

  19. My guy . . You reeeeaaalllly need to fix your UI . This was painful to watch . You have no idea what’s even happening . WoW arena takes an incredible amount of awareness . Watch enemy CD’s , pay attention to your healer so you know when they are in CC , and make sure you watch diminishing returns .
You can’t just face roll damage like you are attacking target dummies . From the gameplay footage you are certainly in the bracket and rating you should be in .

  20. You can't just walk in and grind it out without expecting to improve.
I agree that the rewards for people like you(mentioned up) could get improved, but for anything related to WOW (both PvP and PvE, with the exception of LFR and random unrated BGs) you're expected to improve in the game, learn and progress. if you're just going in without looking to improve, you won't proceed.
The thing you mentioned at Hearthstone, at least in my head (of someone that has played it professionally years ago) is that anything and everything before Legend is just a "path" to Legend, and there the rating is indeed reset every season, and your rating and rank are hidden from you (it's always been like this, everyone, even people NOT in Legend, are ranked as if they were in Legend, but you can only see your rank once you get to Legend, thats why some people get there at rank 100, others at rank 5000)
Legend in Hearthstone doesn't equals Gladiator, it equals "you can now see your rank", which can be bad or good depending on how you performed so far and in the future. It is "just a grind"
