wow has been around for 19 freaking years which is nuts to me. The sheer amount of music on display at this point is CRAZY and I have so much left to uncover, musically. This ambient music is genuinely glorious.

  1. There's a area in Stromwind called Lion's Rest (the place where Varian's tomb resides) which has it's own unique theme called Canticle Of Sacrifice. I'd recommend you to check it out sometime.

  2. I wasn't on the stream so I don't know if you made the connection but the soprano at 9:25 is singing Lament of the Highborne, that you already covered in a video. So yes, it's indeed Sylvanas !
Still one of my favorite songs (and place) in a video game all these years after.

  3. The first time I was in Eversong woods I barely knew any lore.
I was just at a loss of words by the music, I sat down for hours just listening to it as the day became night, the chello, the singing. It was simply magical I dont think anything will top that in my gaming experience

  4. Grizzly Hills right up there with my favorite music in the whole of World of Warcraft right up there with Eversong Woods… But that’s just two of many wonderful musical pieces in the game.

  5. You could throw on every single collector's edition Soundtrack for WoW and you will miss so many pieces that are tucked away in ancient places untouched for years and in special event moments that are scattered all over.

You could look for years and still not hear everything.

  6. I'm still pretty bummed that you swung by Sholazar Basin but didn't stay long enough to hear the music… But I hope there may be more of these reactions in the future! There's also another track in Stormheim (in the dungeon/raid area) that you gotta hear, it's so epic.
And then there's Ardenweald, Bastion and Oribos in Shadowlands!

You made me turn the music back on in my game. It's been too long since I appreciated it properly.

  7. "Wolf at the Gates" is a bit of a hidden soundtrack introduced in the expansion "Warlords of Draenor" that only players who play that specific old content will experiance.
It is widely regarded as that expansions single greatest piece of music and is exclusive for Alliance players, commonly played in the players Stronghold.
I absolutely cannot recommend it enough and I really hope you give it a listen on this channel, it can be found on YouTube and the primary version of the song is about 2 minutes 40 seconds long.
The song inspires feelings of triumph through hardship and endurance in that typical heroic alliance bombastic fashion with choir and inspiring instruments.
Hope you see this comment, have a great day! <3

  8. I absolutely love that you've taken a look into WoW finally. I have heard so much discourse over the last 5 years about how WoW is dead, developers are incompetent, Blizzard sucks now, etc., and while I agree with many of the criticisms that have been made, it's so refreshing to see a complete beginner just jump in and be as amazed as I was when I first started too. It reminded me that the times I still occasionally login still fill me with wonder, precisely because of the music and the way it draws you into the world. WoW's music is not really talked about anywhere that I've found, but it has genuinely been groundbreaking and phenomenal for literally almost two decades, and I think that really deserves some attention, so it's great to see someone really giving WoW its due.

  9. i really like that kind of videos. Just exploring the world and listen to the music is a thing i've did for many hours in that game. Now i have stop WoW, listening them all give me some chills and i'm feeling nostalgic about my first years on it ^^

  10. i see another has fallen in love with my favorite zone, highmountain. my main is a bm hunter so i might be biased! the music matches the sight of mountaintops scratching the sky as you catch a whiff of redolent pine. so much of the game's music is evocative; it can engage more than just the sense of sound.

glad to see you in the phillidari!

  11. I liked the game, but the people ruined it for me in BfA when they've started arguing about raiding, and the guild itself simply broke apart. Even if the story is this bad (in comparison to FFXIV when even playing 'solo' you'll get a great story) ever since WoD, I still comes back to Ashran's music, that used to lift morale of the Alliance players so high that sometimes they've won 😛 Other than that I cannot come to any music that made me emotional in any sense (well – WotLK's main theme does to some degree) :<

  12. I didn't used to think too much about the music in WoW, until one moment: Entering the antechamber of Ulduar. That theme was so good it became the universal leitmotif of the dwarven race as a whole.

  13. Not only the music, sound and atmospheric effects in general are absolutely iconic in WoW.
I've experienced this game mostly in my late teens and 20s, I already know I will still recognize the sound of a blink, fireball or frostnova well into my 40s or 50s.

  14. Some zones I think you should definitely visit if you return to this: Nagrand(Outland), Netherstorm, Shadowmoon Valley(both versions), Storm Peaks, Sholazar Basin, Icecrown, Dread Wastes, and Talador. I also think you should visit some of the raids for their music, especially Ulduar and Ahn'Qiraj
