First and been playing since 2008 myself. Love the content my Pinoy brother!!!
Thanks
Idk why I watched this I've been playing this game without unsubbing for like 8 years lol. Ig I just wanted to listen to soul talk for a bit bros voice is immaculate
No.
I just started wow retail back on Monday this week and I have spent more time having to watch youtube videos to learn how to play than actually playing the game. I wanted to roll as a tank but I got kicked 2 times in a row from dungeons for not speedrunning. Truthfully, I am about to give up on wow. It is not new player friendly at all. I know how to tank and use my rotation optimally but because I don't know the optimized paths to run, nobody tolerates me.
I guess I'm one of the few who dislike DF. There might be many more things to do for casual players, but I'm not finding it compelling. I quit before 10.1, and now I'm back, mostly on the strength of news about the next expansion, and basically to do the world tree content. But after playing the new zone for a few hours, I still run into issues that many other players would scoff at, but it's rather annoying for me.
Case in point is mob loot drops in DF are really, really sad. After killing around 50 mobs in the new zone, and about halfway through the quest line, I've received no armor upgrades, a few healing items, a bunch of armor upgrade tokens, which frankly I don't find much fun, and vendor trash. After several hours of this, I don't feel stronger, honestly.
And, I'm so far behind in reputations that I'm looking at dozens of hours of casual content to even advance the 10.0 Story lines, and at 100-300 rep (with the current bonus) it just looks not fun, to even advance the main storylines. I've played (on and off) since the start of this game, and I've never been this far behind in this part of the expansion, and I can say that again, although there is a lot more to do for solo players, solo character power progression is just sad.
So sitting here now, I just don't feel like playing, even though I've only been back for a week or so.
Love me some Soul videos, keep it up man. Been playing since '04 and i'll be here till the servers shut down. Never thought i would enjoy HardCore, but i started back when it was just an addon for classic. It is alot of fun, the challenge of it. Haven't died yet, 7hp from dieing once… SoD is so far really good and Retail is great love DF. Can't wait to get into this World Soul Saga.
where the hell is Bob?
Depends on how old the person is, younger gamers c the game as boring and too complicated
A great take on the current state of the game. I quit after Wrath and returned 3 months ago and couldnt be happier with the state of the game right now. 3/9M and counting!
Returning players might enjoy wow agaon, especially with upcoming delves. For new players. No. Skip it. It looks old, it's 12 dollars per month, and there is inconsistent leveling experiences. At least the retail version. Classic or hardcore can be much more enjoyable, although they still look old and are still 12 bucks per month. At least there is a challenge, and more of a community.
Combat in Dragonflight is extremely unforgiving. you have to learn and study a spammy rotation.
I would start with classic wow. It’s basically 50% passive game and gives you opportunities to learn and get better if you choose to and aren’t punished if you mess up playing your character.
I've always been curious how Blizzard attracts new players with such an old game. I wonder what the retention is for players who just started playing in 2023 and are staying on for the long haul.
There is so much content lost like mounts and mogs you will always be having a lesser experience. Best to stay away imho. It's ok at fun, but not for a long time.
im one of those "just wanna exist in this mmo" and i approve this message
1 week ago, I was logging every day, doing the weekly on 3-9 characters per week. From 2 days I log and I have no idea what to do, even tho it is 4 mythics week for HC item. I have no idea what happened to me.
The game is so repetetive in every god damn aspect of it. The superbloom is a stupid event. Mythics+ are a chore, not fun anymore after doing them 100 times each.
Someone may say I'm burnth out. I'm not. I want to play, I just don't see what to do to make me happy playing.
Hardcore was great but once I hit 60 I went back to retail. Not having at least a basic LFG tool was a definite deal breaker for me.
I really enjoyed Mists of Pandaria as a kid/teenager and I'm looking to get back into WoW, but this comment section has me now having second thoughts.
Yes
I returned about a month ago from being gone roughly 10 years.
So far, I have been impressed with a number of changes… particularly in solo play.
ya the game seems like its in a very good state while trying new things. I do hope the writing goes back to some of the more gritty dark vibes vs kinda safe lame writing… we all know why but that's where were at.
I dont know about new players tbh but i got the feeling its a great time for returning Players. Speaking for myself i picked up retail again a few weeks ago and im having a blast. And i know it sounds crazy but i regained Trust in the devs
I'm one of those aging players that has played a long time, and it's nice to have so many options now.
having been in the game since 05, i cannot tell people enough that if they ever wanted to try the game, the next expansion would be the time. and why the next expansion? because Dragonflight will be the New Player Experience instead of BFA and there will be more QoL than there is right now, stuff that New Players and Old will be getting a kick out of. though tbf if they want to play right NOW and cant wait then i cant really tell them that would be a bad choice, but they should take what they see with a grain of salt, the game is only at the beginning of a metamorphosis that is changing the game for the better.
Nicely summed up.
Not if you play a stupid effing shadow priest on LIVE blizzard did that spec dirty. Don’t return
Its not. Theres no suh thing as a healthy mmo when it has to be seasonal and based on gimmicks.
Man, love the take, but clickbaity title. 🤪
Vanilla player and DF is the best expansion we ever had. It's bringing the game into a much better place, especially if you enjoy immersing yourself via solo world content – a part long neglected. It is overwhelming for the new player so take it easy, follow your own goals and relax. DF has very good catch up mechanism, allow you to forget the game for a day, a week, a month and catch up easily in comparison to former expansions. There is more to do than I will ever have time for! Your time is rewarded vs classics is a grind. DF is beautiful, fun and addressing so many of the issues of the past. It is still a work in progress with constant improvements added to the quality of life in coming year. I was concerned WoW might disappear: not any more.
For me retail is great now, the new raid is bonkers. I'm not touching classic, not my cup of tea
This dood is hella homosexual,…. What are your kids watching? 👀🇺🇸💯🖖
