Kel’Thuzad was once a mage of the Kirin Tor, just a curious one that practised the forbidden magic form, necromancy. However he quickly grew in power as he joined the Lich King and helped destroy Lordaeron, create the Scourge and for the longest time, he was the right hand of Arthas.

However, Kel’Thuzad was defeated in Naxrammas and until recently it was speculated that he was to return due to his phylactery still being around. Well in Shadowlands he is returning and returning in a big fashion. It turns out he is in Maldraxxus and he has been plotting for quite some time.

If his Maldraxxus involvement has been something that he planned from the start then I would say it is pretty safe to say that Kel’Thuzad is a genius that not only played the humans but also could be the only human that played death.

  1. Keep in mind there are heavy Shadowlands spoilers in this video. Now that we know that Kel'Thuzad is returning, what do you guys think is his ultimate goal? Leave your thoughts here and on the community tab?

  2. What a random story, Blizz really grasped as many straws as they could to give some depth to this random jailer in the Shadowlands (names that seem to come straight out of a edgy teens poorly written story)

  3. Anyone who played war3 knows that this is just plain retcon, kelthuzad remained loyal to the lk when he was losing power and the undead were revealing, he then proceeds to remain in lordaeron in fucking lands infested with enemy scourge from the dreadlord factions and sylvanas to protect arthas' kingdom while he's gone, that was almost a suicidal thing.

then goes and keeps' arthas stuff going while he's asleep for 5 years, and then keeps serving till he gets beaten, hell, if his thing had been found at the moment he would've died, so what "mastermind" is this shit? too much fucking retconning to open up the lore for some big bad that will last 1 expansion and then be gone, dogshit fucking company.

It would only make sense if kelthuzad is there to save arthas' soul/bring him back somehow.

  4. His relationship with Arthas after his resurrections was a big reason I was able to care about what was at face value a big evil group of undead in WC3. So I do hope that his motivations now involve Arthas in some way.

  5. Didn't watch the video but wanted to make a note. You're a douchebag. Write "KT's return for Shadowlands" and then write spoilers like a big asshole. Some of us don't want stuff you see in the beta revealed but when your video comes up in my recommended list even though I don't know who tf you are or never watched anything of your content, it would be nice to not read the title of the video as you've described it.

  6. honestly kel should of been the one to take over the scourge. I feel like his phylactery not being broken is important and him being the powerful Lich besides the "king" he should of instantly gain control of majority of the undead forces on azeroth. but shadowlands is just weird. its ALMOST as bad as WoD story telling.
