  1. Just saying. When you talk about puppet-masters in Warcraft, using schemes within schemes across time-frames to great for mortal minds ,plotting to claim the world; to remake it in their own image, Blizzard already had the perfect entities to use for a glorious expansion. Instead of a malfunctioning death robot. But, N'Zoth has standards, and would not recruit Sylvanas, so that was thrown out for this most likely.

  2. We bid farewell to the worst (boring) villain in WoW history. So many missed opportunites. What if Zovaal was right about freewill? What if he really was trying to break the cycle of predestination and got screwed and now hates everybody? What if he was coming for the giant sword sticking out of Azeroth so he could mourneblade it and steal her soul? Nope? just a Thanos rip off who had absolutely no real impact on lore or the overall universe? Okay Danuzer. Just keep digging your career grave even deeper.

  3. This expansion was so bad it made Warlord's alternate reality bullshit look good in comparison and you know that is a bad sign.
I fucking cringe at Zo-bald's warning though, I do not want to deal with more cosmic forces bullshit that make the Burning Legion look tame in comparison.

  4. One thing that always bothered me about raids in WOW is that, as a mediocre-at-best player, big story plot points are locked behind SUPER difficult bosses that I am more likely to watch others defeat while my corpse paints the floor for the 20th time. My husband and I were so invested with defeating Garrosh in Pandaria, we stayed in LFG raid groups for HOURS until we got a win, and that was a satisfying ending cinematic for us!!

… this though? Like… man. Stuff like this makes me glad I didn't invest all that time. Shadowlands as a concept is SO cool, and the worlds and "factions" of the afterlife are so interesting and wickedly designed! There's *potential*! But man, if this is what they do with the story? I'll just keep running around in Ardenweald enjoying the scenery!

If we ever go back, that is, we're still waiting on things to Actually Improve At Blizzard!

Thank you FF14 for having a GREAT story that is ACCESSIBLE with easy-to-follow onscreen-stacking instructions and the like, making every wipe and battle worth the time!

  5. Even though yes…the Jailer is basically a poorly written character and his story would of been interesting if it wasn't for the fact that he was the "puppeteer." of everything..or what not. I do like 2 things about him. The armor that he was wearing…and his voice. That's it.

  6. So the last 3 of the 4 expansions have been dumpter fires? (WOD, BFA, and SL) Like… I have no words that have not already been said. This "villain" was by far the weakest the game has had and to think the company pulled the "Since Warcraft 3" is insane because if they even cared about warcraft 3, they would not have took it out back and shot it with "Reforged".

  7. I agree that Danathrius should have been the main antagonist instead, it would have fit with the lore about dreadlords being agents of corruption. Hell, Zoval could have been his first attempt at manipulation, but when that plan backfired switched to a long game strategy, went after the other powers, and pulled an il'ganoth with a bunch much of followers so there would still be a faction of death causing problems.

    So many possibilities, but alas…
