Are you still going to do cooking and first aid?
There are 3 different beacons you can pick up from feralas, tanaris and the Hinterlands.
If you find all 3 you can turn them all in to the guy in booty bay and get a pet as a quest reward.
My hunter does seem to kick butt way faster than any other class I've tried so far for sure. by a long shot haha
