Bounce between the two if you want. Keeps it more diverse and allows some rested XP to build up.
The add on for upgrades doesn’t work. Most people have uninstalled it. Also shadow word pain does little damage compared to ramp time. You should cut it out of the rotation.

Maybe a wand upgrade could help alleviate mana issues? Or pay a mage friend for some conjured lemonade

You should have a spell that turns you into mist/ghost and rejuves mana..unless you havent trained it yet. Cant remember the name now. It helps a lot. Good luck on the journey
