  1. All zones are leveled for you until level 30 which is nice as you can avoid the annoying zones that suck. You need Chromie to continue to level to 50 otherwise the mobs stop leveling at 30 and turn gray to you. I doesn't matter what you pick and you can quest anywhere even if you pick Legion or Lich King.

  2. From a continuity perspective, I can see the current ease of a new adventurer's leveling being explained by the passage of time. In Vanilla, following the events of the Third War, alliance forces were stretched thin and the "new horde" was just getting its footing. But now, many expansions and adventures later, the same worries of an earlier time may not exist.

  3. I really appreciate these videos. With someone who is new to the MMORPG genre as a whole, this is nice to follow along. WoW was always super overwhelming for me. I would just get lost and have no idea what to do. Would you recommend Retail or Classic for me to play and sink my time into?

  4. Hey Rob!
I'd recommend you to do Cataclysm timewalking, because that scales up ALL old world zones + you can play classic dungeons through the dungeonfinder if you decide to give a shot to them!

  5. This is what I saying in one of your classic vids, To me WoW has ruined the excitement of getting gear. Rob, you can also get an epic upgrade, In classic you would "never" see an epic piece of gear unless you where max lvl and going to a heroic dungeon, you where never just handed an epic piece of gear, even the class specific gear sets where only blue and you had to go through a crap load stuff for each piece, and there was always 8 pieces to the set. Anyway, Blizzard did make some great changes to their game, I just wish it didn't come at such a great cost, I'm of the opinion, this is the reason WoW has lost about 90% of their subs. although, This is going to be interesting though, Rob, I have never seen the quests from about lvl 15 and up, as soon as I reaches lvl 15 (access to dungeons) I leveled to max in dungeons (and as you have said, is laughably easy)

I had first played WoW in vanilla TBC just at the beginning of the expansion and had quit 9 months ago, I was playing ESO that whole time (MUCH better game in many aspects, mostly the writing for me was the big thing) It was my brother who talking me back, he had a max lvl, and said he would help me level, anyways, what I'm trying to say is Classic WoW through Wrath, was the game we all lost, and thanks in large part to classic, they still have a game, in my opinion, and its really sad because WoW was my first MMO. and you are right, retail wow is a completely different game than what we had.😪

keep on trucken Rob, cant wait to see you level 60 (both versions of the game)👍👍

  6. I dont know about timewalking I did TW on 4 toons Wrath/MoP/Legion and TBC. In each time I was near the end of the xpacs quest lines in the very last zone when I hit 50. For both Wrath and Legion I was literally on what would be considered the last quest in the end zones.

Also most people level through time walking

  7. Hey Mr. Robert! I appreciate the series as i"ve watched this and the prior episodes back to back with myself playing classic through the same zones – leveling a char to lvl 28 from Elwynn -> Westfall -> Redridge and Loch Modan interchangeably. I haven't played WoW since Pandaria and was curious to see how those same zones look & feel in retail! So much obliged for the content!

It's despicable what they've done to the retail. Unlike you, the only thing interesting to me in retail is the pet battles, but hey – you don't have to play WoW because of that – maybe there will be an offshoot soon enough in the shape "WoW pet battles mobile experience" lol

  8. WoW should just scale to max level, in every zone. And just restrict higher level loot to the new zones.. so for example, if the current xpac would have ilvl 200 in normal dungeons and then 230+ for heroics, raids etc going forward, all the old zones should just scale to max level but cap their gear at ilvl 200. The current system just sucks.
