  1. Hey Omar, new to channel. Gotta welcome you to WC community. Would warmly recommend you watch all ingame prerendered cinematics in chronological order from Wrath of the lich king all the way uptill now for each expansion. Those are great and will give you a back story for each expansion, longer you go the better they get.

Anyways its jsut recommandation if you are interested in story and WoW as a whole, I aam sure here everyone would love to see you react to all of those, its quite a bit of content.

    Keep it up!

  2. Also for Shadowlands controversy, I never thought Shadowlands was that bad, I played throughout whole expansion when it was LIVE. Narrative was a bit bad and expansion changed directions few times, biggest problems were ruination of characters like Sylvannas and Arthas. And we have to consider COVID PANDEMIC was active back then and blizzard had lawsuit at same times things werent great for company. But lore and world building in shadowlands imo was fire, and there is difference between lore and narrative (for some people that are gonna trash me now knowing the difference)

Those who know know, that original threat in Shadowlands was never diminished. we think we have defeated the Jailer and evil has diminished, but truth is real threat in Shadowlands is still out there, and the guy that played us all into thinking Zovaal was THE Bad guy can't be stopped next time he tries to harness the power of Azeroth to remake reality.

In short story, shadowlands was bad to people because it was most encrypted expansion ever, literally everything was hinted nothing confirmed. And the content was going live very slow, long wait before the patches and alot of chores to do.
But where Shadowlands lacked Dragonflight picked up (except the theme and tension of the story)

  3. I like how everyone that doesn't play wow or knows the lore etc. actually likes everything like everyone when they started playing. And I'm not talking about old lore, I'm talking about what is happening at the moment, and often, old players keep trying to say that is garbage instead of letting the new one enjoy things and form an opinion later

  4. The world lore is fantastic but the execution is poor sometimes. Shadowlands was particularly bad as they destroyed the Sylvanas character who used to be cool and mysterious, and turned her into a generic villain (cuz reasons). It felt very forced to make her evil, but she was too popular in the history of the game to kill off so they gave her a sudden redemption at the end which felt dumb.

Whilst the Jailer who we'd never heard of before was suddenly behind literally every evil plot, and yet we kill him within just one expansion. And with his dying breath tells us he was only trying to murder us because it would've actually SAVED us from an even bigger bad that he chose not to tell us about… Like wtf??

It was such poor writing considering how good the source material is (reminiscent of the last season of GoT).

  6. The Anduin mind control storyline is fine in isolation. But I feel like they expanded the concept of mind control too much in that expansion. To where it cheapens villains if you can just argue they were mind controlled the whole time. That's boring and dumb.

The Arthas/Lich King character was cool because we watched him slowly get corrupted and go insane. And then it felt like with Shadowlands they were kinda suggesting "just kidding, it's all just mind control lol". Booo

  7. I think the newer lore is fine and has a lot of good plots and moments, the problem, in my opinion, is not the story, but the old school players that hang around complaining about how different it is than their "good ol' days"
And I say that as someone who has been playing since I was a kid starting at the tail-end of Classic.

  8. Interestingly, the Windrunner sisters all had taken up a human as their love interest. Sylvannas' relationship never bore fruit/offspring due to her death. Alleria has a son named Arator from Turulyan and Vareesa has twin boys (I don't know their names) from Rhonin (RIP).

@20:20 you hit the nail on the head. We've been asking for this for years. In fact, there's rumors that there was an RPG in the works but was cancelled. We get a lot of lore through books but it's not as effective. Especially when the main base of this universe is in video games. We got a lot of lore due to the RTS Warcraft games, which was the ground work for WoW.

  9. The spirit of the world called out to a few chosen warriors and tasked them with saving the world. I can't believe squenix ripped off the plot of Captain Planet and the Planeteers.

  10. I started wow with Legions – took a break during Shadowlands and Dragonflight – now i’m returning for War Within
I know lore wise almost nothing except the trailers and some little pieces of the most important stuffs especially about the history of Jaina and Thrall 😂

  11. I don't understand why the community and the guy who made this video are so concerned with a sword in a planet. It doesn't matter, it was neutralized.
Previous time a giant thing happened to Azeroth, a Titan ripped out an Old God out of the planet, it created a giant lake, then when demons tried to use it to invade Azeroth and the spell failed, it ripped continents apart and became Maelstorm. It existed for 10000 years, and it's no different then a sword – just a terrain feature now

  12. The Burning Legion comprised many, many worlds. World of Warcraft could easily become "World of Starwarcraft".

Bliz is running out of space on Azeroth to stick new areas, and with underground being taken up as well, may have to take a look at that planetarium in the Return to Karazhan dungeon.
