Im back. Side note – installed Resolve and edited this video with it. Why is there no pinch to zoom on MacOS? Besides that – its SMOOTH, and its just as fast as RTX 3070. Future videos to test.

But for THIS VIDEO – we are covering the NATIVE GAMES for MacOS that people have been requesting. We cover World of Warcraft, Batman Arkham City and War Thunder — ALL with OBS running to record at 8000KB/S

This M1 Max might be perfect for streaming?

  1. I am currently running wow on my MBP16 connected to an eGPU ( AMD Radeon 580 I know it sucks) and plugged to a 27 inches 4K display and I’m at 35-40 FPS, do you think M1 Pro with 16 core GPU is enough or M1 Max will do better ? I don’t necessarily want big numbers on term of FPS just keep playing wow smoothly on my 4K screen.
    Thx for your answer

  2. This taken from Blizzards forum regarding resolution scale: "If you set above 100% the game will render internally above your screen resolution and downscale the final image for display which decreases FPS."

  3. From a personal view, does the notch bother you with gaming? I’m in a dilemma between a 14 inch max using an external monitor or a 16 inch and using the Retina display, concern is whether the notch will make the 16 inch unbearable.

  4. So the new M1 Ultra will be perfect then. It’s two of these chips combined. But damn, 4000 plus tax for a computer is kinda yikes. For around half that or maybe a bit more I could get a 3070 or 3080 GPU PC…

  5. I play WoW on my 16” MacBook Pro, same specs as yours except mine has a 2 TB SSD and 64 GB of RAM, everything is on ultra settings.

The game plays very well, the fans do kick up, but they don’t even max out and the computer doesn’t get unbearably hot.
