i would have been screaming at the jailer at the very start telling him to shut up for like 2 seconds, and tell him to grab a seat and just talk to him, ask him why the fuck is he doing any of this?
and sure it would take like a few hours, but after that the jailer and the player characters could come to an understanding and end all this bull shit in like half a day
The jailer was evil because as a teenager he can't express his feelings of love towards the players or something.
