  1. Maybe instead of the tutorial with Exile's Reach you should have had him choose the old starting zone. Sometimes the more they hold your hand , lighting up things you have to click on, the longer it takes to learn.
Also, very curious to see how Mama Mooplis does; I bet she’d like it more.

  2. This was such an enjoyable video with reasonable critique! These games are typically made for his generation, which makes it even more surprising and amazing to see an older guy with such unique gaming preferences. I also loved the fact that he frequently games with your mother, which was really endearing.

  3. I think your dad had a very reasonable opinion.
I came back after a couple of expansions, and the game didn`t really know what expansion to funnel me into.
So even as an experienced player, I didn`t know what was going on.
    Wow definitely isn`t for everyone…

You should try the "real" starting zones instead of the hold your hands isle.

  4. Typical new player teaching new player experience you failed. You should’ve put him in classic while and let him figure it out just like you did but no, you’ve got approved that you know something just like we all have you’ll learn your lesson on the next five or 10 of them and you gotta let them do it themselves you can’t do it for them, but you can’t drink it for them

  5. I started WOW after my husband died & my kids wanted to play it. I made friends there played for 13 years and now am a 62 year old grandma who still plays with her friends but we moved over to FF14 in 2019 & will never go back to WOW. I cleared my first Ex1 in Dawntrail with my group & now on to an Ultimate. Used to even play with the WOW grandma who is on Twitch.

  6. I'm about the same age. Been playing since day one, played EQ before that. Once you get hooked, you stay hooked. I am thinking of writing an addon for new players, something to actually explain the game, storylines, etc. It has to be incredibly confusing for a new player.

  7. This is the first video of a new player to wow where I was able to watch without getting irritated. And I would love to see more, I do believe that retail would be best for a newer player since there isent much help for newer players in classic (Since you are helping it wont be a big problem). Also small mistakes can really mess you up in classic (Not cata). Only thing I think would make retail hard to learn is all the small game mechanics they have made over the years. There are is much while in classic its nice and simply while harder and slower.
