  1. everybody is going ballistic about EA, but there's no real advantage that comes with EA, you get maybe some extra rep if you neckbeard it and you can be one of the first people to set up shop as a crafting AH Goblin. not to mention, you're not PAYING for Early Access, i've estimated the value of all you get from the Epic Edition and EA is a free bonus. NOW, IF they decided to sell EA by itself, then i would be pissed off too, but it's not. it's ultimately harmless and whatever exploits people have pulled out during EA it has been rolled back, if anything EA helped to make sure that Launch went off without much of a hitch, and that's fine by me.

  2. I dont fully understand the hate behind the early access. Me personally have not played since covid and thought dragonflight was the dumbest shit of all time. But anyways with early access it provides THIRTY FREE DAYS OF MEMBERSHIP which is half of the "extra" money anyways and I was looking at only doing 3 months to see if i stick back with this expansion or not which a 3 month membership equals the early access price tag anyways but i only got 2 days of it anyways but still felt like it was worth it because now i get 30 days to see if I really like it or not and learned dungeons and the world before majority of people started it which i enjoyed and got to play it right then and now. So all in all I had no issue with the early access and throwing in the 30 days with it i felt it was easily worth it to try it out and see if I really liked it or not. Also early access 100% helps with launches…. only having idk 40-70% of the player base get onto it to test servers and bugs, keeps crashes and horrendous launches from happening. And theyve knocked out some pretty good and quick fixes in the last 72 hours from me posting this and I havent ran into a single MAJOR problem which in todays gaming world is damn near non-existent lol 10/10 for me loving the dungeons and storyline so far just wish the game became less PG and was more R rating or masculine lol

  3. I agree 100% on the early access. It felt pretty divisive in my guild. I just avoided discord and guild chat during that time and just felt the FOMO. I could afford it, but I didn't buy it on principle. I think it was a big L as well.

  4. Im lvl 74. i thought the levelling so far has been boring. Fly here. kill 10 boars, fly here, collect 5 trinkets, fly here kill 10 boars. I haven't read any of the story, just clickety click. Sometimes I click M and aim my marker on the map at the marker is I have to go. No a very immersive story. thb i don't even know why i'm helping scottish dwarfs and robot dwarfs with coding issues. I don't really care. You don't play wow for the lvling experience.

  5. Valid opinion on the Hero talents, i disagree, i actually like that it isn't much of a difference, well except for mages… wheever there was a new expansion it was, oh i have to relearn my class again… i like it simple, easy to understand, maybe buff things that aren't working out to change other playstyles, make things look more visually more impressive.

  6. What you and a lot of people failed to see. This was early access with the heroic edition, which came with literally every extra cosmetic, mount pet etc you got with getting the xpac. Same as the last expansion and what it included when paying that same price. This time they added early access as a bonus, and it was awesome (fyi i only have one level 80 btw). I loved getting on and just taking my time with my gf and being able to quest in the new zones with no lag etc. Early access was great, is great and if they do it again, I'm going to buy the heroic edition again, get my cosmetics and get my early access bonus, I hate seeing that people are poor etc when it comes to this. People knew this was coming, don't act like you didn't. Save up for it, it's not hard because every single person out there can.

  7. I thought the same thing with hero talents. No Legion-esque questline to open up the feature. I mean, obviously skipping it would be nice too on characters you don't care about, but they could've done some REALLY cool class-based questlines to give people an idea of maybe some of the past elements that made these classes so cool and unique over the years.

I do wonder what it's gonna feel like in a few weeks when the end game grind is truly unlocked. The music though is so god damn good.

Also yes, the stupid pre-launch garbage massively fragmented the community and made the launch SO shitty compared to every other expansion I've played and I've been around for all the others. I'm fine with two separate launches, but fuck them for doing it in this way. If you pre-buy you should get early access. Paying DOUBLE what the expansion costs for 4 extra days? Blow me. Even if I was rich, I wouldn't support that shit at all.

  8. Early access has been a thing in WoW for a long time. At least as far back as Mists of Pandaria. My 6 year old son had just had his right kidney removed at the time he was really happy that he got to experience the early because he could play for a few minutes at a time because of the pain.

  9. The arm Khadgar loses is the opposite arm the other character in the intro lost. Seems like a heads up to khadgar coming back pretty messed up, tho. Maybe he will be a disgusting looking void mage after this.

  10. The hero talents may sound incredible and heroic, but it is not, the only heroic-like sensation I've felt with my main and alt classes (Main Druid) is in Legion expantion with the Artifact Weapons at the introduction.

  11. WoW launch is a ritual every wow player go through every new expansion ALL AT THE SAME TIME. this early access is the worst shit blizzard decided to do so far, it literally killed the hype of the launch.

  12. Early access was horrible. Even afterwards it seemed like they punished people that didn't buy it when they "hotfixed" scaling. Also seems like people paid the extra $40 to be beta testers… Shame ..

  13. Early access was the worst decision of this expansion. It ruined that first feeling when discovering dungeons and areas. Now, when you go into a dungeon first time, you got 4 others that has been farming it 200 times last 3 days and just steamrolling past everything. Some morally corrupt people were taunting people in trade chat about "stop being poor". It was such a sad sight to see. I hope they do not repeat this dumb decision for the next expansion.

  14. Early access is an industry standard now, this isn't anything special Blizzard is doing. Yeah, its greed, and also practice at the same time, but it is the new normal.
Just like micro transactions and games shops. Shot ain't going nowhere…lol
