Hey guys, today I thought I’d go over the remaining things, that I feel like Blizzard could change/implement to make the game a LOT better for a broader audience in the future.

  1. Max’s take that blizzard would never leave a hindrance in game due to making money is a bad take in my opinion. They have shown they care more about daily system grinds to up metrics year after year then the game itself. And promoting 6 month sub packages when there will be a content draught. That’s straight copium IMO.

  2. Firelands 25 HC is still bugged lol and I`ve reported thousands of times, you can`t do the hc version only the normal one even if you select hc mode when you zone in the raid is on normal mode KEKW.

  3. Good list!

Re: Guild Master Loot/Fully-Tradeable Personal…. I do not agree! But with a twist! RNG loot should be nearly-fully replaced with a currency system. That would be far more fair and far less degenerate than: loot determining comp; requiring these insane loot system schemes.

  4. World pvp on purpose. Lol. Also, it may be interesting to be allowed to swap which faction you are in. This can be live, in game. But with a cool down. You get a debuff. Of course this would only be interesting if you could interact with opposite factions.

  5. I agree with a lot. Here's an argument about group buffs though. The reason they exist is that the philosophy of "bring the player, not the class" doesn't actually matter enough. Blizzard have tried it in the past and came back to raid buffs. The reason they exist is to promote class diversity by giving each class something valuable that is not tied to game balance. You never bring just the player, you bring the player and the tuning of the class with it (Idk about the balance right now so I am just making shut up but for example why would you ever bring a druid if another class can fill the same role with same utility just doing more damage). Without some kind of unique utility, underperforming specs and classes will have absolutely 0 place in any group.

Now I'm not saying it's perfect and maybe it is the case that it's not worth it, but I felt that you completely missed this argument which is the actual reason Blizzard brought them back (it was not because of classic players). Maybe the issue lies in the value of the buffs in 5 player content rather than the existence of the buffs per say.

  6. Even on horde with 3 Mythic down, people are going on breaks and it becomes so hard to sustain the 20 man, guilds are dying left & right, and you can only recruite on your server until crossrealm comes out. Sometimes people will transfer but usually because their realm is even more dead than ours. It makes recruitement truly horrible and adds a level of frustration for the 16-17 players left behind who still wanna go, which usually results in a spiral until hiatus & next tier…

Waiting for the holy day of the community feedback patch. Or the game dies away slowly.

  7. 22:12 oh man I've the complete opposite opinion. IMHO needing to pick talents based on situation/fight and not based on what you personally enjoy best is what I absolutely despise about the current talent system. I feel that this kind of playstyle makes classes feel scattered/disjointed, as though the class is split up between a bunch of puzzle piaces that you have to try and piece together based on the fight. Not fun whatsoever in my opinion. Especially when it comes to having to swap between passives and active abilities. I REALLY do not like having certain important abilities that I put on easy to reach keybinds suddenly become passives, turning that keybind in a dead bind. It feels absolutely awful.

  8. additional to the raid buff thing, i think it would be good if they would give every healer a CR and every tank a BL and take it away from the dps so you have much more freedom with your comps without getting punished to heavily.

  9. I definitely think a large part of the reason people romanticize the good ol' days is because there was less content you felt you HAD to do, so you just did whatever the fuck you wanted. They've got us all so bogged down with required grinds tied to player power that any play time we get outside of our scheduled raid/m+ is consumed by chores. Back in the day, if you wanted to play during non-raid time, you had so many choices! Sit around and bullshit with people in Shattrath/Stormwind/Orgrimmar, go fuck around with the opposite faction in world PvP, work on an alt, go mindlessly grind some gold, play the AH, go run around low level zones and help newbies, go do some old quests somewhere, etc etc.

I had a week recently where I skipped Torghast/Korthia/Covenant Assaults because my non-raid time ended up being spent on doing 8 m+. It felt fucking awful to realize that actually, for purposes of player power, I really shouldn't have done the last 4 m+ but instead spent that time instead doing one of my obligatory tasks. I enjoy m+, I enjoy raiding, but I absolutely fucking LOATHE the weekly renown grind, the fucking two Korthia reps one of which is really fucking obfuscated in how you most efficiently obtain it, and I also fucking loathe the fact that none of this work I'm doing means anything for my alts. I love being the flexible player that can tank or heal or dps, but right now since I'm maining a shaman I just don't get to tank because maintaining my death knight is just flat impossible.

So TLDR, I hope some WoW devs see this video and really take that last point to heart. Stop giving us player power grinds. Let us do shit for the sake of doing shit without some fucking carrot attached to the stick. I just want to go play in the mud sometimes instead of being forced to search that mud for a tiny granule of character power.

  10. People get ridiculous begging for gear in Pugs already. Trading personal loot I don't think is necessary in the lower levels. Greed is high and nobility low. Most the time its a piece replaced within a couple weeks. I do like the idea of Master Loot in Mythic only as it would allow coordinated groups to be just that. Cross faction raiding is a no brainer. The fact Blizzard hasn't done this is honestly absurd, I just don't see a solid logical reason. Tier sets should have never been removed. It was just a way for them to save resources on armor designs for Individual classes 3 times an expansion. Timewalking definitely should be more polished. Its a cheat code for free content for Blizzard. Bonus rolls is a meh point. Fine with it fine without.

  11. For bonus roll they could just make it only one bonus roll over week and reduce the chance to get an item, but making the bonus roll free. Or better: make it a weekly thing where once per reset you get the bonus roll window on the raid at every boss, but once you pressed it you don't get it for that reset anymore, so people can't save the bonus rolls. Then having it on a maybe 50% chance getting an item. Then it's just a minor chance to get that one item you really need and want .

Another option would be to be able to influence from which bosses you get the vault loot… Why not choosing three bosses you've already killed to get loot from? Or even one?
Let's say I really need a dagger, as s rogue, but am the only rogue in the guild raiding. If I have bad luck, it can happen that still to this day, I didn't get a single dagger from sylvanas, neither from vault nor drop… Being able to choose sylvanas for the vault so you get an item from her every week could help with thst

  12. Tier sets are worst. I complete heroic raid and 4 mythic every week. And I still don’t have Helmet. Because of huge RAndom. I hate it. I hate when my dps is lower only because i am not lucky to get this helmet.

  13. blizzard has been relying on players to create fun for themselves in their game since it's inception. they were hoping that players would form their own fun, side things to do without blizzard ever having to lift a finger for development time. that is the difference between wow and other MMOs.

  14. keep loot the way it is but tradeable between guildies without restriction at a certain reputation with the guild, that way pugs arent scared, because their loot isnt yoinked but guildies can run their loot how they want.

  15. The Masterloot point is horrible. Max, you're literally the top 0.000001% of guilds, please shut up. If master loot comes back I will probably quit the game.

And yes, a lot of my guilds would trade my upgrades to another person, if master loot existed. Because guilds that arent top 1000 dont care about progression, they care about their IRL friends. Fuck master loot.

  16. After playing FF14 for a few months now it would be really cool for WoW just to make time walking a permanent mode like ff14. Where you can que for “older content” but sync your level and such so that you can always go back and do the challenge and make that older gear still relevant for all time for that content. Such a great feature in FF14 that has made me wish was a thing in WoW.

  17. I would like guild halls and a progression system for guilds like gold goals or just doing content togheter that unlocks cosmetics to put on the guild hall, maybe that would make people embrance group content more.

  18. this is good for community and the game on paper but in reality most of these take away monthly income from a player. If i i have 1 exalted rep on main, therefore all my new characters will have same thing, thus i will not have to spend time to farm again and again which equals time spent playing which equals money for blizzard.

  19. One thing that I would like to see is account-wide guild.
I hate that some of my characters are in my guild and some aren't.
Plus, one thing that I would do if I was a developer is: the group leader can invite anyone from the guild, regardless of realm and faction.
It would make guilds feel more like a community, since it's actually tied to the player and would make raiding less restrictive giving an actual reason to be in a guild
