Hello everyone! This was the second boss that we killed during the first week of Mythic in the Castle Nathria Raid of Shadowlands.

This was not pretty. I hesitated to even upload it, but figured people could benefit from seeing the mechanics so I did. Not to make excuses, but just to be fair, we had been progressing on this for about 3 hours straight at this point and we were definitely getting a little fuzzy in the brain, at least I know I was.
Just some of the silly mistakes I made were:
Randomly cast Wild Growth on pull with everyone at full health and not timing it with the first Spreadshot like I had been doing all night
Not spending my Clearcast at 0:37
Apparently forgetting that Pierced Souls were a thing for a while at 2:20
Forgetting to reapply Lifebloom or refresh Efflorescence so many times that it’s not even worth listing the timestamps
At 3:32 why the heck did I convoke with the raid healthy and like 8s left on Tree? It would have healed for way more with Tree and I ultimately used Tree only 23s later when the high-damage phase started.
Burning way too much mana in p2 and entering Phase 3 with like 15% mana, after being super-conservative and entering Phase 3 with 50%+ for most of the night, then going super-out-of-mana for the end of the fight.
Just to name a few.
I’m definitely a little embarrassed about my performance, but feel free to laugh at and learn from my mistakes along with me – that’s what improving as a player is all about.
At the end of the day I’m just super-glad that we killed this, most first kills on Mythic aren’t that clean anyways. After those 3 hours straight of progression and doing most things right, but just wiping to 1 little mistake here, 1 different little mistake there, we got it together enough on our first pull with Vantus Runes applied to kill it. I’m glad that I remembered they were a thing and reminded everyone that we should use them 30 minutes before raid ended lol. I do wish we had used them sooner while we were all still sharp and could have gotten some decent parses, but there’s always next week =)
