@12:12 you're a little off base here with this I think. That look on her face is her realizing "Wait, the Jailer has the power to control him like this…it's the same as with Arthas though" Then right before the scene cuts away from her another look comes across her face… as if saying "wait, then that means…" and then it cuts…… she just realized it was actually Zoval that made her what she is…took her life and turned her into the Banshee. She JUST realized her anger towards Arthas all this time, was misplaced….Zoval is the REAL reason she is as she is. Watch her face closely.
@18:40 someone in your chat said something about what if when Sylvanas said "we cant even choose who we…" she was about to say Love…..what if she was talking about Varian?????? It would make sense if she LOVED Varian then she would have cared a great deal when he died….which she did. Would also explain why she said it that way….because she would have obviously felt that she was not SUPPOSED TO love Varian because they were on opposite sides. Also explains why she treated Nathanos more like a FWB than someone she actually loved…..and why we haven't seen her reunite with him after his death. Very interesting.
Sylvanas will save everyone by killing them…
Varian and Sylvanas also had an arc that could be resolved at the same time.
I think Anduin is allowing himself to be an analogy for Sylvannas' fate to show her that she has a choice at this moment.
Im pretty sure they are taking ahout Elune. I think they want her help but are too scared to ask the
winter queen
What if the winter queen could ask Elune (her sister) for help? Maybe that is what the guy from Bastion wanted to say? Maybe Elune holds power over him and she left because she felt that either injustice was done to him by her sister The Winter Queen? Or maybe she felt that she was no longer needed? Or she is just so OP she is the key to defeat Zovaal…
uther felt the jailer inside anduin, he felt the wound stronger
I think some of this is super compelling. I had not even considered that he agreed, however, being told something about Varian is not going to be the reason. I see how you got there though, as it is hard to come up with a reason. It could be as simple as 'Live to fight another day' and even in torghast the light has him steadfast and still believing it will work out in the end, if he just lives.
watch the plot twist be that the jailer was in control the whole time and they were legit talking about him with everything they thought they were saying about anduin, the jailer may not be the big bad of this expac at all
I wonder where anduinns compass points now?
Still think it’s arthas. Everything pointed out in that cinematic speaks so much of arthas menethil. The boy, the man, the king. Even though evil his intent was always pure
The anger in anduinns face reminds me of varyian. Not that varyian was an angry person but when he fought he fought ernestly and with fury. Anduinn needs the keys just as badly as the jailor.
3 possibilities. Either
1) Sylvanas dominated Anduin, she feels guilty to him.
2) Sylvanas dominated Anduin and she feels guilty to Varian for defiling his son.
3) Anduin chose to side with the Jailer which would explain how he can have a conversation with Sylvanas in the new cinematic whilst eyes glowing all dominated still, and she feels she now has to commit to the Jailer which she had doubts about now because a mature, wise person agreed his course is the right one
It bothered her because she had no choice and she knew that anduin was not going to give in.
I actually believe this could be the case. I'm mind blown tbf
But how did anduin escape the maw?
Shit shoveler jarrick lol
I would have thought that Varian's potential return would be more important somehow..
Sylvanas did not like what was happening to Anduin at all. I think it was a lightbulb moment for her. It's difficult to know with Sylvanas.
at this point they should go all out, reveal that sylvana's breaking the barrier between this world and the afterlife is only the start reveal that she wants to break the big barrier release all souls from haven to abide by others, you can do this with our wthout her actualy the big choice of blizzard is wil they show her as a real vilian or as her having manipulated the jailer.
either we win and call in all allies including ilidan and the titans and those of the shadowlands and all together beat the jailer and either include sylvana's in that as an allie or have her beat together with the jailer.
at this point blizzard should stop messing with sylvana's,she is the villain no the hero no the villain, blizz make up youre damn mind.
another possability can be that the lion symbol of the alience is actualy the soul of azaroth, have his compass or seal be the thing that unlocks and releases azaorth itself a big spirit lion that beats the jailer, that alone or have azaroth come in when perhaps everyone fails to beat the jailer and at te last moment have azaroth come in and beat him, just make this big and move on to including the whole universe, just fuck it go all out, youre hafeay there blizzard so you might aswel.
or the other option is that the jailer is actualy the good guy? this can go several ways which is interesting and can even blow our minds.
that talk between sylvana's and anduin about a short life and that its pointless falls abit flat because she just exposed another world to us where we live on and that where all possably eternal, what does hold up is her free will speech because this expansion does show that there always seem to be bigger forces to which we have to obay and she is trying to break that we always have to bend to higher forces.
But we cant see the big cheese himself carine rest in paradise
There are several possibilities that come to my mind. One, Kyrians are blind and stupid (they didn´t see what was wrong with Uther or that his soul was split) or they "tested" Anduin based on his actions before he came to Shadowlands so they didn´t actualy tested him in Shadowlands and didn´t see the domination magic being worked on him. Or he went willingly. This option also makes a sense when you remember who Anduin is – someone who always sees the best, the good in people.
Anduin only has two options. And his only hope in defeating the Jailer actually lies with Sylvanas turning on him. If he is completely dominated he wouldn´t be able to do anything. He also knows almost nothing about Jailer but he knows Sylvanas. Reasoning with her didn´t work, he may even actually agree with her on some points but not with her methods and alies. So his only way to succeed is to show her that Jailer is not the answer by giving her what she wants to show her what she needs. And to show her that Jailer is not about freedom by giving up his own.
There is also a lot of paralels drawn about Anduin and Arthas but I see even more between Sylvanas and Arthas. I don´t think Anduin is made to be Arthas 2.0, it is going to be and in some ways already is Sylvanas in my eyes. She has become her biggest enemy and the thing she was actually fighting.
Everyone is talking about Varian returning but where is Tiffin?
I thought chris was only going to do thralls voice, thats why they retired varian.
She said, "Through the Jailer." I still think she is playing 5d chess and plans to betray the Jailer. But, I'm a loyalist, so, whatever…
We haven't see even Tyrion Fordragon. We haven'tnseen a lot ofngreath characters dead in the past. It is simply impossible to portrait every great char.
Imagine the scene.
The corrupted Anduin says "There is a time for war", and Varian replies "And a time for peace, my son". What begins with a hand shake, becomes a hug between father and son. As they part, the players raid group enters the scene, and you all turn on the Jailor. The entire fight is the players manouvering around the coordinated attacks of Anduin and Varian, and laying down attacks. Then, in the last stage of the fight, Varian becomes raid tank, Anduin the raid healer, and the entire raid of players has a timer to do mass damage. Job done.
You clearly missed a big clue. Uther touches his wound, why because he feels the same magic used as Arthas. So no Anduin is not Anduin
