  1. If you feel pressured to buy a wow token for gold, you don't play at a high enough level to warrant collecting these appearances. Like, I make the gold for these cosmetics in a month or two maybe. Depends how much I'm playing. it's important to have gold sinks for players like me. Those who have can't control themselves from buying wow tokens.. Well, you make sure I never give Blizzard my own cash, so thanks I guess. A fool and their money are soon parted. "I feel pressured to buy a token for cosmetics" is the most absurd thing I've ever heard and anyone saying that shouldn't be given even a scrap of respect. Just people looking to complain for complainings sake honestly.

  2. I was looking forward to fated raids so I could collect all the tier looks I missed out on (NOT looking forward to wiping on Raszageth all over again). But it seems I'm at the mercy of a few voters who pick for me the ones I can get. It seems… bad. I don't care if they'll all have the voted on set bonus, but make them each have their original design!

  3. and if they weren't selling gold themselves you'd just be crying about how the time limited items are blizzard encouraging rmt and gold bot farms, there's literally no way they can win whatever they do which is sad

  4. Okay, all these years later and we still don't know who or what the "sand gnomes" in Outland are… Because if Outland came from a blown up Draenor and you got the Vault of the Titans in Nagrand in AU Draenor, then sand gnomes could have been "Ordered gnomes" that the Titans moved from Azeroth to Draenor in a distant past. When Draenor was exploding apart a few sand gnomes escaped from the Vault of the Titans (assuming it's the entrance of a much bigger place we never saw) and ended up in the desert landscape around Auchindoun… Would be hilarious if ever we get a "Light invasion led by Yrel" that among the masses around her there are sand gnomes. They look like other gnomes except they have constantly sand particles dripping off them…

  5. I wish Blizzard would actually give us the 500 tender, the transmog and achievement instead of worrying about all the "drama" about giving the tokens. This issue with the achievement was told to them in December. Now it is half way through January and still no word about it in over 30 days.

Who cares if it SUPPOSEDLY gives you 500 tenders with the achievement if you can't get the achievement!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. I find it amazing that people still whine about gold sinks when as a relatively new person to gold farming, I'm already sitting at 900k doing the bare minimum since last Septemeber. Its amazing how much profit can be made if you simply dedicate least a couple hours once or twice a week to post onto the AH. There's a magnitude of ways to make bank, too, ranging from organizing your own private list of bnet clients for professions using the crafting system to find people to simply posting easy to get convenience items for a higher cost.

That's before you factor in that WQs and end content just hands out gold. BFA & Shadowlands made it so that doing a handful of WQs across alts for an hour a day for seven days meant you could easy have 60k saved just by playing the game. In Dragonflight, there's WQs and quests that will grant you anywhere from a 100g to 800g in rewards per character.

Almost every WoW YouTuber, be it Hazel or T&E, has a side hustle gold farm at this point. So, really, I find it hard to believe that anyone at this point can say they don't know how to get gold and not need a WoW token with how much there is in the world of resources dedicated to paying for the game without paying a cent from your own bank account.

As for legendaries, I'd argue that Legion, to me, had the best framework for an evergreen system that could have been evolved for future expansions if Blizzard desired.

The ability to customize the weapon to your preferred playstyle and whatever content you were doing in that moment was one great feature but the system allowed Blizzard to develop storylines from these weapons, like we're seeing now with Xal'atath. The system ensured that the weapons you had on person could stay relevant for the content you preferred and provided unique rewards beyond ilvl (and stat) increases like the unlocking of unique artifact appearances, cosmetic shapes for druids and even mounts.

Taking Legion as an example and making it go evergreen the way it originally needed to be for BFA would have changed how people felt about the game and likely prevented some of their issues, like how awful azerite gear was. So, to me, if legendary weapons (or any sort of gear) carried actual incentives that went beyond simply current expansion and their acquisition came from an assortment of different content, I'd care again.

I'd love if the tendies could be made robust by weaving them into other reward systems like achievements, boss loot and more. They could be an account-wide currency that is granted as an addition to say, gold, for certain content completion.

If Blizzard desired it, they could expand this into creating entirely new achievements for players who wish to complete the traveler's log or least complete a set number of activities over a period of time for additional rewards.

The Traveler's Log is a nice addition to help people who have little in the way of dedicated hours within a week for gaming and allow them to get nice cosmetics but everyone else shouldn't be penalised by FOMO and instead should be rewarded for doing more than the bare minimum.

Blizard could then put their focus into providing better rewards within the Trading Post and allow players' with excessive tendies to say, purchase reputational favours for a slight increase in rep with a faction or for additional resources for a current expansion.

Tendies could be a good way to introduce a currency conversion system so players can take their excess resources without use and convert them into a resource that gives them additional cosmetics.

I have many garrisons building up with garrison resources and there's nothing, as of right now in-game, to use them on but if I could convert them into tendies, I would, even if it had a weekly cooldown to prevent players' from just using their garrisons to farm tendies.

There could be weekly quests attributed to the Trading Post where contributing to the Trading Post with certain resources, like herbs and ores, can grant additional tendies or helping the merchants at the Trading Post (and further expanding their lore) can also do the same.

Equally, there could be cosmetics in the Trading Post that are tried to specific achievements and presenting the merchants proof of completion could unlock the cosmetic for purchase. Example could be that certain cosmetics relating to a faction require the weekly world boss to be defeated to unlock which means that older content has a way to become relevant again.

You could gain certain items from a boss's loot table and have a chance to access the hidden inventory of these merchants and get a selection of other loot from the same loot table you could trade it in for as an added protection to help with the consequences of RNG.

There's so so much potential in the Trading Post to be more than just an in-game cosmetics store if Blizzard chose it to be so.

  7. People need to seriously stop caring about the fomo in WoW, its actually recolours + mmo's are an live service, if u are playing at this moment and got tons of gold go ahead and get these lame reskins. Such a waste of time to complain about small things like that

  8. As someone who will never, ever run another dungeon with another person with a heartbeat, this is a good start. I never want to interact with another human in this game again, IMHO. If they can make the warband good in dungeons, I'll come back and play some wow. I mean the bots used to do it better than the humans could, so I expect that level of input from them. If they handicap the warband from being able to do heroics and beyond, then I don't see the point. The worst part of an MMO is the MMO part, the human interaction part. After 18 years of playing wow, I'm over the entitled cucks that make playing the game unbearable. This is a good start.

  9. Well I'm really not going to go and buy the stuff from the black market auction house before it hits the auction house because quite frankly I'm not a huge fan of gold color items, so I guess I'm safe

  10. I will never buy a WoW token and I’ll never be tempted to do so. If I can’t earn something in the game, through enjoyable means, then I just won’t get that something. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Edit; FOMO really kills my desire to earn something…..haven’t figured out why that is so. Maybe because the time crunch stresses me out and kills the "fun".
