I think it's probably one of the best cinematics they have done so far. The new style is really cool and it took me a moment to grow on me – but now I have seen it a few times and I'm hooked. Resubbed this week!
I like the dark ominous vibes. Dragonflight was a bit too Disney for me so I'd like something a bit more badass from this expansion.
In my opinion this is actually one of Blizzards worst cinematics. That's not to say its bad, the art is amazing as always, but If I consider most Blizz cinematics a 10/10 this is a 5/10 for me. It fails to tell me a story and it's because there is no dialogue, it just shows you a few characters and a place. Why they didn't have Xalatath narrate some ominous shit that was about to happen like she did in the Fury trailer is beyond me. That alone could've made this trailer a 10/10. They could've built up so much more hype and speculation for the community with dialogue hinting at things. I do think it's because these trailers aren't going to have as much impact or effort put into them because we aren't getting expansions anymore, we are getting Sagas.
It was terrible. We have a rich fantasy world setting and in the trailer we get a black lesbian getting dressed.
Riveting stuff.
