We are actually going back to Northrend for the finale of the World soul Saga and will be HUGE! I’m not talking about just updated graphics and some new models, I’m talking about how Northrend is going to be completely different, with the recent updates and new areas we got. We will discover Iridikron’s gigantic tunnel citadel under dragonblight with floating isles and lava pools as well as Vyranoth’s base in Stormpeaks.

We will get huge updates to the titan facilities, we will get big follow ups on the tuskarr, the taunka and most importantly vrykul that could potentially be playable. Furthermore we are in for Nerubians, Yogg-Saron’s influence and just a completely different Northrend than the one you had seen back in Wrath of the Lich King. So what is Northrend going to look like in the Last Titan?

  1. I loved playing in Northrend, so ti'll be great to revisit the place, I'm particularly interested in seeing my old favourite zones, Borean Tundra and Dragonblight.

    I wouldn't be happy to see Dalaran get reused in northrend though, it sort of worked in legion, but putting it back in Northrend would be squeezing the lemon. The Scourge joining us would be horrible, players have fought them for years, and after Zul'drak fell to the Scourge, I think that zone would be the premier new Scourge Stronghold of Northrend if the Frozen Throne has melted.

  5. My theory is that there is a class that could include necromancer and spellbreaker as specs. Im thinking of something called the Mystic, which would also have the runemaster spec. It could launch with playable Vrykull, but thats just a prediction I made, very much hopium, very excited for World Soul Saga

  6. I think the new Northrend will not just be updated in terms of visual graphic, but some Zones may be combined to fit that 4-5 Zone per pexpansion trend going on since Legion. I suppose the old Northrend would still exist for Chromie Time to preserve that old expansion zone and storyline within it, and we could just talk to a Bronze Dragon NPC to take us to the Old/New zone to phase.

There could be a zone or 2 that branches off the stormpeaks to help accomidate all titan related content which give blizzard more room to work with, think hrothgar's landing being a mini sub-zone that branches off icecrown there could be room for more of these sub zones that the titans shroaded in "fog" but on a larger scale

  10. all for it, but no for Dalaran in Northrend, lets stop reusing it as an asset. Crystalsong Forest is large enough with good background of cursed Highborne Elves and their ruins taken by Sunreavers & Silver Covenant. Besides there are so many assets left in Northrend that could be used better.

  14. When we return to Northrend i am really curious what happens to Icecrown/Icecrown Citadel. We all know Blizzard is gonna use it somehow in the revamp. I assume we don't have Dalaran there as the city has been moved elsewhere. Could Icecrown Citadel be a central hub perhaps under the protection of the Argent Crusade/Ebon Blade? I think that might happen.
    Also those tunnels of Iridikron underneath Northrend could be the parts of the Nerubian Kingdom as well. Maybe Xal'atath has something to do with it as she is close the Aqir in TWW and since Aqir and Nerubians are basicly family, this might be connected somehow.

  18. Everytime someone says something like Vrykul or ogres potentially becoming playable I just facepalm so hard it's not even funny anymore. Might aswell ask blizzard to let us play Giants.

  21. Instead of new allied races every expansion they should do any race any faction the horde and the alliance have been working together for most of the expansions it’s time to unlock the race restrictions

  22. I am curious as to what the continent is between Pandaria and Kalimdor on the world map at the Antoran High Command fight in Antorus. It is not shaped like the one on the in game world map.

  24. My biggest hope for the finale of this saga is that they hit the reset button on some of their greatest mistakes. We could potentially come across Arthas in another timeline, and knowing what we know, alter time so that Arthas never becomes the Lichking, thus saving Arthas' character, saving Sylvanas' character, sparing the entire playerbase the Shadowlands, and opening up WOW to an entirely new cannonized future. I think AI will progress fast enough to allow the next few expansions to exceed all previous expectations, and the process for widespread revamps will become much easier using AI. I think "Timelines" is the future of WOW, making it possible to never be stuck in a place that sucks as bad as WOD, BFA, or worst of the worst SL

  32. I think HD Northrend during the Lich King Era would have been great for classic retail wow since you got all of the HD Stuff that Dragonflight, Shadowlands, Battle for Azeroth, Legion, and Warlords of Draenor with the Night Elven Ruins, Tuskaar, Dragonkins, and etc.

  35. if they even think about using dalaran for anything I will not be happy, how in hell is dalaran so laggy, I have an SSD and a moderately new computer and Legion dalaran is just as laggy and slow to load as northrend dalaran. either they better figure out how to optimize a city or stay the hell away from that shitshow. lol

I love the idea of going back to an updated, upscaled and more ambitiously designed Northrend, if they make sure the current version remains for people in Wrath Cromie Time, which I believe will be the case, but its worth throwing that caveat out there. However, I do think most of the new locations will be underground, with the originally planned Azjol-Nerub zone being fully realised at last, but if various zones are made larger and more interesting at the same time, then everyone wins.

  38. The Cataclysm would have done some stuff to Northrend too. And after the Dragon Soul raid there should at least be big pits on either side of Wyrmrest Temple where those big underground chamber creatures were where we fought those 2 bosses, maybe with some corruption/rotted flesh creature remains left over

  43. They need to destroy the entire world and remake it from the ground up. Have all characters start at lev 60. We don't need 7 continents that no one uses. redo the entire world.
