Blizzard’s big new box feature, hero talents, were under fire by a large chunk of the community. Is it right to suggest they’ve wasted their time, or is there something we’re forgetting? A drama so profound, the thumbnail has 3 Sally Whitemanes.

I like pack leader because I won't have to relearn my class. It's really annoying to feel lost in on a character you've been playing for years, adding features and abilities is good, but if you have to modify your entire play style that's where you lose the plot.
Seems like borrowed power. I thought we were done with that. As BM Hunter why just make it more damage, why not give us something extra to do. It’s not like high end players and raiders that play BM play it just because it’s simple. I love the fantasy of it. I’m a huge pet guy. Seems insulting to just make everything just hit harder. If that’s the case do that for every class.
Agency and options are great. If they add more buttons I am going to be so incredibly annoyed. Every character I play (with one or two exceptions) has completely full bars – all my keys, hotkeys, are used on almost every character. There is NO WHERE TO PUT MORE SHIT. Having a DPS rotation that feels like I'm playing classical piano gets pretty old after a while.
It also feels ironic that the one spec that falls way short of this and actually WOULD benefit from optional complexity (BM hunter) … has the most passive tree. Whoever is designing BM is doing an incredibly bad job. There has rarely been a more boring, less rewarding spec in this game.
I am ok with Hero Talents being added to in each of the worldsoul saga, but they will run out of ideas if they keep that up. Class skins would be an absolutely perfect game selling feature, but I understand that they want us to actually gain power as we level up.
hello bellular warcraft channel
Towards as many passives as possible i go.
I'm not currently playing, so don't care about hero talents. i was a casual PVPer and nothing wow has atm has me wanting to play
hero talents are a shit idea, some cooked up shadowlandscovenantstupidity.
As a balance druid i want less buttons to push. I love my moonkin but I am tracking dots, CA, "stance" two fillers, two spenders, before i get to CDs and utility. I would really like the ability to simplify eclipse – I've never really liked the mechanic but I am stuck with it. I kinda hope the astral hero talent where you only got into one eclipse is competitive.
Things are overly complex
Finally great to see mix and match talent trees being mixed together as one instead of just being stuck in one single class spec spells.
I'd have preferred a class skin quest line, similar to order hall stuff, which capstones with a small buff to the themed spec.
I love pack leader its what i will be
I care way more about visuals than the gameplay with these. I already play my spec because i love the gameplay.
But i want to look super cool doing it.
My class doesn't need more things to do/track. Please pull the ripcord, Blizzard.
Game is going to be dead
honestly I’m glad Blizzard is trying to change the course of WoW’s development to the better, but I’m still worried about Hero Talents. This new feature for World of Warcraft gameplay should be more dynamic and fun for all of those talent trees, I think they failed with some trees, and they rally should think about class skins content for those Hero Talents. As a main Havoc DH I’m frustrated with the lack of gameplay diversity on my tree. Blizzard, we’re trying to count on you but it’s hard sometimes.
I main as a Frost Mage, and honestly would take spellslinger over frostfire because while frost is alot of fun to play, there are too many spells already to weave even more into rotation. Frostbolt, ice lance, flurry, glacial spike, nova, cone, blizzard, frozen orb, ray of frost etc. Then the counterspell, spellsteal, (mass) barrier… its gotten too much really
They've got to be able to use AI to hyper-streamline talents, specs, and class balancing. I bet AI could also do a better job of balancing as well, so that way all talents can be viable.
Not that this is an excuse or shouldn't be fixed but the classes are never balanced and the specs are never going to be balanced, its literally never going to be perfect, that is an aspect of any game, and it something that you are either choosing to play the "optimal class/spec" or you are playing because its just "Fun". I have seen for years the breakdowns of "what is best" and I think that is always going to be a thing. I think that Blizzard can just get as close as they can. Just my thoughts, don't hate, and hey lets play it and see what happens.
I personally thin the Hero Talents should be a little more balanced between Active and passive talents. Even if the Active talents replace existing talents from the original trees.
Euugh, I never thought I'd see a horrible image of Whitemane, she looks like a crazy clown.
Seeing as I'ma main Templar, hammer go brrrrrrrrrrrr
Yes, I'm quite excited for it
Dark ranger is what I am looking forward too, I main a hunter and love that thought
Im just waiting for Blizzard to realized that they need to make a Spellblade spec for Mage that buffs melee attacks with magic and builds a small shield based on the damage they have done the last few secs
As a elemental / restoration shaman, I have enough to do… I have 36 spells on my bar to use various situations. Please don't just slam extra abilities for the sake of having extra talent but rather mutate some abilities via talents to make them better, differ the playstyle and visually awesome.
