Welcome to Wowhead’s information hub for Patch 9.2.5 the third and final minor content patch of Shadowlands! Patch 9.2.5 marks the long-awaited implementation of cross-faction gameplay, it will contain the beginning of Shadowlands Season 4, and more!
When is the Release Date for Patch 9.2.5 Shadowlands?
Shadowlands Patch 9.2.5 will release on May 31st (NA) / June 1st (EU). Season 4 will launch later this summer.

Shadowlands Season 4 (not at launch) – Mythic+ Dungeons from past expansions, old Shadowlands raids with new features

Cross Faction Instanced Gameplay
In Patch 9.2.5, Blizzard is implemention the first iteration of cross-faction gameplay, allowing players to play with friends of the opposite faction. Below we have a summary of the currently known limitations of cross-faction gameplay:
Guilds will remain single-faction. Random matchmade activities, will also remain same faction.
All raids, dungeons and rated PvP will be cross faction, barring some exception raids with faction specific components (e.g. Battle of Dazar’alor, Icecrown Citadel).
Group Finder will be cross-faction, however the group leader may choose to restrict to same faction if they wish.
You can directly invite members of the opposite faction to a party with BattleTag or if you’re part of a cross-faction WoW community.

Heritage Questlines for Blood Elves and Dark Iron Dwarves
Two new questlines are available for Blood Elf and Dark Iron Dwarf players in Patch 9.2.5.
Blood Elf players investigate a Scourge appearance in the Ghostlands. Completing this questline awards the Elusive Emerald Hawkstrider mount and a Blood Knight-themed Ensemble: Blood Knight’s Dedication for Paladin players.

Blood Knight’s Dedication – Dressing Room
Dark Iron Dwarf players will help their Anvil-Thane regain schematics for Dark Iron weapons. Completing this questline awards the Grimhowl’s Face Axe mount and a Dark Iron-themed weapon ensemble with Arsenal: Lavaforge Armaments.

Renown Changes for Alts
Blizzard is implementing a few changes to Renown in Patch 9.2.5, to further speed Renown acquisition for alts and those grinding other Covenants. You can read the reasoning behind the changes on our news post:
Renown Changes in 9.2.5 – Renown Catch-Up To 60, More Renown Sources
The Broker Mark of Distinction will increase the Renown of your currently active Covenant to 60, up from 40
Renown catch-up is accelerated through Renown 60, up from 48
These activities will now have a 100% chance to reward 1 Renown upon completion:
Mythic and Mythic+ dungeons
Torghast Layers 9-16
Defeating a Shadowlands raid boss encounter
Winning a Rated Battleground
New Druid Travel Form
A new Druid Travel Form appearance was also datamined on the 9.2.5 PTR. It is currently unknown how to obtain this form.

Shadowlands Season 4
Patch 9.2.5 will introduce Season 4 of Shadowlands at a later date, with the usual rewards like a new PvP tier and others. This is not a usual season however, as Blizzard is spicing things up on the raiding and Mythic+ side of things. For more information, check our news post:

I'm honestly excited about the cross-faction change. Still loyal to horde but the story just isn't going that way anymore
