  1. I worked for Blizzard for Wrath drop and even us as Customer Service knew that loot was created as soon as the instance was entered, as we always had complaints about "the instance never dorps the gear for my class" complaints so we had to explain that the loot is created as soon as the party enters the instance and has nothing to do with who is in the actual party itself.

  2. One of the biggest proofs regarding how loot is created is the controversy where a Rogue back in TBC used atlas loot to check if a glaive spawned inside of Black Temple by checking which items the server had loaded after server reset.

  3. The loot thing makes sense, it reminds me of a story from either preaches legacy of the rogue or legacy of tbc, where rpgues would reset black temple IDs before raid night to see which glaive would drop, due to an atlasloot bug.

  4. Pirate lies about everything, almost every story he has ever told is Bullsh*t, that is a fact. The dude even lies about his voice for fk sake. I heard the dude talk just a few years ago at an event, I promise the dude fakes his voice. I did not talk directly to him, but I was standing 5 feet from him while he talked loudly to others because of the crowd.

  5. Loot creation on entering was known about and even manipulated in tbc. The atlasloot addon could not load an item if it hadnt existed on a player or loottable right after reset so rogues woul log in right after server reset and enter BT to check glaives.
If none of the specific glaive haver had logged in yet but you could load that glaive in atlasloot it meant that the glaive was on illidan and the rogue would hold the instance ID until raid and guarantee the drop

  8. Loot was always generated on mob spawn or upon first loading the instance. Using tools like AtlasLoot you could spam reset a dungeon/raid on weekly reset until the item you were after showed up in AtlasLoot and you would be sure to get it whenever you clear that instance on that lockout. This was changed at some point to prevent this, it no longer works like this in retail, at least not in dungeons or raids. Regarding classic, since it's not "true classic" but more retail with classic layered on top, I don't know for sure but I imagine it works like back in the day; Loot generates on spawn.

  9. "I dont run until the tank is dead"
    ok and?
Does that mean when some indecisive and incompetent shot caller says for the party to run that he shouldn't run when everyone else is running?
