  2. There was a time when I was first playing, that Rogues had Bucklers (shields) and we could also dodge tank and use our toolkit in that manner… still not sour about that, and I'm glad I stuck with rogue.

  3. The cube was producer Shane Dabiri. He was not technical support. 🙂
If QA found a Shane cube they'd make sure it was logged in the bug database and assigned to Shane who would reassign it to the appropriate party.

  4. My buddy and I played the Alpha back then. I think it was a cracked server.. We made dwarves. I remember one day a level 12 troll got over to us and spent forever just killing NPCs making it impossible to quest. The game wasn't even out, and people were messing with each other already.

  5. In answer to your question about raids/MC/Searing Gorge, from my understanding, the final touches were implemented literally a week before launching the game. I don't remember exactly, but I believe MC/Searing Gorge were put in, and Ony was patched in later.

  6. Omg, I remember the pure excitement and agony of my slow internet downloading this Beta. Literally took over 24 hours to download it. Then the eventual wait to actually play the game at release. Let’s just say almost dropped out of college thanks to WoW 😂

  7. Ngl those male human running animations are closer to what we have on the new caracther model since WoD. The new animations they added in WoD clearly took inspiration from those alpha ones.

  8. I got a private server hidden away on some old disc drive somewhere. It was a massive undertaking getting it to work. Don't remember the exact year, but i think it was 2008 or 2009 or something like that. There wasn't a lot of information online on how to get it to work and YouTube was barely a thing. Was always facinated by what "could have been", and what was behind the curtain. I remember there were many videos back in the day (10+ years) that showcased the alpha, but it was mostly just showing how much some cities had changed, like Ironforge and The Undercity. There was no gameplay it was just flying around with GM tools.

  9. Completely honest. I still feel VERY HAPPY just watching this. WoW is one of the games that i really LOVE so much. I just hope Blizz does improve on their direction and reward fans for our support towards them all these years. The game is really NOT good …………. with the last BEST xpac being LEGION <3
