That new starting area of wow for newcomers is lame, insulting, and silly. What a pitty they still are just ignoring old zones and starting zones exist at all. Getting rid of starting zones is the easiest and least ambitious way to solve the issue. They could, and should have revamped all of them. Although knowing how stupidly they are developing new stuff today they probably would have done it wrong. You say you feel the game alive and huge, but it was several times better the feel we had pre 2015 era. Today the game is just… social, and probably that's the only one adjective to be said, as all other you may come up with were better 10 years ago.
I just care about watching other people having fun, because i cannot anymore. Not even classic is as enjoyable as it was back inthe day.

Interesting that you can get relatively cool looking armor (especially helmet and shoulder guards) from level 10, I remember back in the day it was mostly garbage until at least around level 25-30
