  1. Thank you for putting Stampi at number 2. I played a warrior in vanilla and he was always my auctioneer. I used TB because I had way less orgrimmar lag there, plus the bank and the forge/anvil was right there and I was a miner/smith. I use to grind copper in the venture co mine and sell it all through Stampi! <3

  2. It wouldn't fit in this video but an npc worth mentioning is Orbeck the unknown, he's in the leigon rogue order hall but he's dressed in gear from the trading post. Upon talking to him he'll say "What I've been here the whole time." It's funny because it's completely fucking useless

  3. Auctioneer Chilton is useless too. That idiot doesn't even work for Blizzard anymore. Thank god cause he did way more damage to the game than Ghostcrawler did.

  4. If you're creating a device meant to be used for auctioneering and your "programming is so superior" that only someone at the absolute top of the field of engineering can even interface it, your programming probably wasn't that superior.

Edit: 04:46 This is just the best set up for a heartwarming story about the homunculus getting so lost in pretending to be this kids loving mother, that she eventually just starts seeing herself as his real mother. Could have her slowly break free from whatever undead programming was given to her, while she's still technically following it, as she's getting more and more attached to the life she is imitating.
Then let the son and dad have some arc of them first being horrified by what she's become when they find out, and then slowly start accepting her for what she is.
Or have them be suspicious of her, realizing something is wrong but not wanting to draw too much attention to it so she never notices. Have them come to terms with that even if something has happened to her, she's still someone they can love and care for and then have some reveal of them finding out who she is towards the end, her being terrified of the new life she's grown so attached to falling apart, just to have them be like "it's aight, we've known for a while homie(unculus)".
Even better if the homunculus is built from mainly her corpse and retains some of her memories to be able to fit in better. If she has all the memories of the previous person, is there even a difference between them?
    Get on this Christie Golden.

  5. There also the auctioneer in Boralus in the tent where the engineer trainer as is only visible to engineers. My Goblin engineer doesn't know any BfA or SL as I did not do anything notable with my goblin in BfA. I also have no SL crafting (even though I can see it as unlearned) I did not do anything in that expansion.

  6. I remember playing with a guy during official HC last year that had played WoW for like 10+ years? Missed Vanilla but he was there for Classic and played pretty much all Era after Classic release. He was a mage and he'd turn up to BB for post-Wbuff TPs to get the tip money and sometimes I'd go with him just cos we liked to play together. Got there early once and BB was empty, so he started exploring. He found the bank and auctioneers in BB that day lol. He was amazed. Never realised he could bank from BB.
It just made me laugh cos he'd played the game for so long but the bank in BB isn't even hard to stumble across. I think the guards would even mention it for directions around BB.

  7. That Auctioneer Stampy one actually be an Era factoid and not a Vanilla factoid. Only the capitol cities in Vanilla had auction houses; so only Ironforge and Orgrimmar had them (Ironforge is the actual capitol of the alliance in Vanilla and not Stormwind). Other cities didn't get auctioneers until some time in TBC. I think close to the beginning. It could have also been the very end of Vanilla? But I'm pretty sure it was TBC. So those auctioneers not talking may be simply cos they were introduced for Era so they didn't have the voices done and nobody noticed.

  8. WAIT. Harvey Dent is Twoface!? I am just now, this very day, watching The Dark Knight, and you just spoiled what I can only assume is a major plot point. How dare you not give a spoiler warning!!! My day is ruined!

  9. I love how Hesse transforming into a werewolf is just such a regular occurrence that the other auctioneers barely even acknowledge it anymore. I'd even imagine they got to the point where they mentally associate the sound of him transforming with the clock hitting 9 pm

  10. This may be a fever dream but i vaguely remember the old Stormwind AH npcs were named Amber, Crombie, and Fitch but they had to change their names for… legal reasons.

  11. The auctioneer robot you have to build in your garrison is pretty cool. Also pretty much assured that a lot of people didn't have to go to their capital for any reason in WoD.

  12. Some corrections:

    1. Retail no longer has faction auction houses or a neutral auction house. Every auctioneer NPC accesses the same cross-faction auction house as of Patch 6.0.2.
    2. Darnassus still exists in retail. You can talk to Zidormi at the speech bubble on the Darkshore map.
    3. H.A.R.V.E.Y. is the Alliance auctioneer in Shrine of Seven Stars, D.E.N.T. is the Horde auctioneer in Shrine of Two Moons. Despite the construction of the shrines being the same, the names are different and general layout of the sections are somewhat mirrored.
    4. Not really a correction, more of a clarification, but Auctioneer Hesse is a human during the 12 hours of "server day time" and a Worgen during the 12 hours of "server night time". The transition is at the same time as any other day/night transition, such as the Night Elf crit/haste racial and Sunscale/Nightfin vanilla fish availability. The day/night transition is synchronized across an entire region and does not match realm time. For NA, it is around 6:30am/6:30pm pacific. I don't recall if it's 6:30 during standard time or 6:30 during daylight savings, but server timings do not change so it may be either 5:30 or 7:30 throughout a portion of the year. To expand on "server timings not changing", standard time daily/weekly reset is 7am pacific while daylight savings reset is 8am pacific.

  13. The nights elf npcs were males, thus the pronouns he/him would be appropriate in the place of "they" as that denotes multiple people. Thats my one small nitpick, other than that, great video as always 😊
