  1. I assume the hozen hanging out in the hotsprings is a reference to Japanese snow monkeys which do the same. I don't know much about them, but it might clarify why there are a bunch of random hozen there.

  2. The large pipes just make me wonder; how did they not remove that, but a painting with a woman had to be replaced with the most generic painting of a fruit? Addictive substances are fine in World of Warcraft apparently! Must be some intense puff-puff-pass moments with those pipes though.
The odd pitcher is clever as hell. It's a monkey holding a jug with the tail acting as a handle. That's a genius design for a novelty thing. I'd use that to pour drinks.
The mercury zone in Deepholm was awesome, but Deepholm makes me sad. Not because it's a bad zone, far from it. It makes me sad because it was one of my favorite zones in Cataclysm, and when we got Zaralek Caverns in Dragonflight, I expected "Deepholm but higher quality". My hopes were shattered when I realized Zaralek was so bland and boring. No composition or anything; just a bunch of "hey, wouldn't it be cool if 'this' was underground?" set pieces. Here's hoping The War Within doesn't disappoint my spelunker soul, because that expansion is 99% underground. You can't botch that, you just can't.
The skiing penguin world quests were so fun. No matter what, whenever I did them, I always played the theme song for SSX Tricky. "IT'S TRICKY TO ROCK AROUND" blaring in my ears as I'm sliding down the mountain always got me pumped and helped me ace the hell out of those quests. It being a reference to Skifree was also pretty neat.

  3. The jug is a monkey/lemur type thing, the handle is it's tail, you can see the curl at the top. There are real world reference pieces in this style, however a lot seem to have racial undertones to their designs….😬

  4. 5:41 Mercury is also known as quicksilver, hence the subzone name. In fact it's specifically called Mercury because the Roman god is known for being speedy. Just as the planet has the fastest orbit

  5. 3:12 The image on the pitcher reminds me of a sloth, so it makes total sense Crendor would be drawn to it. It seems to be fashioned in an Aztec style, and the trolls have a sort of generic Mesoamerican theme to their architecture, so I don't think it's odd or out of place at all on a Zandalari ship.

  6. Oddly enough I was just in Sunrock Retreat last week and noticed the giant pipe for the first time and thought to myself "this thing should be on one of Crendor's lists" and here it is.

I'm just going to pretend I made it happen… 🧙‍♂

  7. I always thought it was Wierd/Odd that there is random Greek Pottery around WoW, noticed it especially in Classic Vanilla, and then in Wotlk it's all about the "Norse" gods……

  8. The giant pipe @1:30 is mentioned by the trolls from a cut bit of dialogue by blizzard:

" I killed to dwarves in the morning, I killed to dwarves at night.
I killed to dwarves in the afternoon and boy, did I feel alright.
I killed to dwarves in time of peace and two in time of war.
I killed to dwarves before I killed to dwarves…
and then I killed two more! "

So yeah they are smoking dwarves. That's why it smokes out red; it's the magma zest from the dwarves rocky heritage. It gives it that cool smoky tang!

  9. Top 10 Pointless Elderly NPCs? Doing Season of Discovery as a human and I'm doing the Young Lovers quest again and I talked to Grandma Stonefield and I was like "huh… top 10 pointless old people?"

  10. I especially like the turtles on the log. As someone who goes out in Florida nature a lot and sees turtles chilling on the log, I also enjoy seeing that in WoW as well.

  11. the zandalari jug on the ship looks like its meant to look like a monkey

and the hozen in the hot tub are more then likely in reference to the Japanese snow monkeys that warm up in hot springs in the snowier parts of japan. idk if china has something similar over there but that's the first thing I thought of when I saw the monkey part here
