  1. i mean, its quite easy to explain the popularity of balance druids, they had a great dmg profile as venthyr for so many fights, with the biggstest burstwindows, which made fights oftentimes a lot easier. Also don't forget great healing with heart of wild, and other utility like roar and innervate.

  2. I really loved playing unholy at the beginning of this xpac, it was pretty painful getting nerfed so hard (in a way that also affected Mastery scaling for the whole xpac). Getting dps AMZ hard nerfed too was the nail in the coffin for me. At least it was easy to bounce around alts w/o ap for shadowlands

  3. I think the reason people kept playing balance is the poor state of feral. Even when feral was towards the top of the damage meters, people would not switch specs. It would be great if Blizzard refreshed ferals and make them an attractive, fun spec to play, not just tweak their numbers.

  4. The reason why balance druids didn’t change was because we cannot change to another range dps spec like warlocks or mages or hunters. Also, the spread aoe damage profile made us not so bad even if the overall was low.
