“Right? Okay. Y’know?”

I don’t hate retail WoW. I just want it to be better.

  1. I'm really tired of the rose-tinted goggles when it comes to Legion. No one seems to remember how fucking horrific 7.0 and 7.1 were when it comes to systems design. Remember timegated Artifact Knowledge on alts? Legendary cap? Legendary RNG in general? Trying to play an offspec, but you cant because AP?

Legion was great by the end, but it did not start out that way. 7.0 SUCKED .

  2. We're all getting older. The older we get, the less patience we have for grindy bullshit. We want to sit down, play and feel like our time playing was worth it. When you spend an hour in a mythic+ and come out of it with anima power, that's the most deflating feeling. Getting loot is fun. Feeling stronger is fun. Doing nothing for your time when your time is limited sucks ass.

  3. As you rightfully point out the gear in WoW has never been more dull. The fact that sims exist and can be reliably followed just sums up how stale it has become.

It would be incredible if not only did tier sets make a return, but items in general just had more ways of impacting how you played. What if some of those boring dungeon items that you went through impacted your abilities. I played a Resto Druid this expansion and if items had done things such as Swiftmend's healing being able to hit another target nearby or if every rejuvenation tick decreased Barkins cooldown by 0.5s, I'd have been forced into making interesting decisions rather than blindly following item level.

Sure it would be difficult to balance, but isn't the beauty of an RPG finding those OP builds or making whacky builds that you enjoy? it's impossible to surprise anyone in WoW anymore, I could tell you the exact spec, talents, covanent of every single one of my party without even checking.

WoW needs to focus on just being fun again before it worries about being balanced.

  4. Hey man, do you stream? Can I follow you somewhere? I agree with everything you're saying though I don't play WoW like you.(I played in Legion and some BFA as well as some Shadowlands, just not as invested). I however do play FFXIV and I feel like I share a lot of views in respect to the design of these videogames. I love these long rants of yours, thank you for the video <3

  5. Everything here is why I've perma moved to FFXIV even though I've been playing both WoW and FF for the better part of around 10 years

FFXIV has it's own issues, don't get me wrong. But at least it's issues don't continually impact my direct enjoyment of the game

Eureka was annoying, but I was essentially playing FFXI so it was understandable to a degree, still annoying
Bozja southern front is 10x better than Eureka, and I love doing it's content, and since it's still current content, I am rewarded for it, for my current relic weapon (Until Endwalker of course)

I can go back and do Eureka for stuff I missed out on if I want it

I can also gear myself at the rate I choose, since gear is extremely deterministic. Granted, I don't really think gear from a stat perspective is much more interesting than current WoW either, but at least I get to meld/overmeld it if I want to and in reality gearing doesn't mean much aside from the appearances because I mean, glamour is the true endgame.

  6. So i'm really trying to give this a try but quite frankly, you are the definition of the people who constantly complain about this game and fuel the complaining culture. You have below average logs, don't have keystone master, and have done almost no pvp. How should anyone watching this video value your opinion?
