Ammo was one of my favorite parts of playing my hunter. Was a weird change to come back to, very confusing. Then played on my lock and realized soul shards and soul stones were no longer items as well. Then the skill and spell tomes, most of them, were useless. I get they were quality of life changes but they were kind of core to the experience of the world.
I can still remember it well. The bags (tiny compared to today) were full of ammunition and, above all, food for the various pets. I found it annoying. There was also no such thing as a comfortable mount with a trader, so the bags were always too full. I really celebrated the fact that it was gone.
Attack speed remain the same for Ranged Auto Shot in cata. Also buying ammo from classic to classic wotlk was a gold sink and not a pleasent one. Im glad ammo is out of the game, same with mana for hunters
I remember playing dwarf hunter back in the day, shooting wolves in the snow, it was awesome until I heard, no ammo. Had to ask my friends dad why I couldn’t shoot anymore, he showed me the ammo salesman and how it worked
There are some things that i wish they kept or brought back. Lately, ive been playing alot of Classic and I REALLY having to keep ammo. It just hits different. I also really like having to feed my pets! Getting that 125% dmg has been super helpful, plus it feels like you're actually bonding with the pet.
so sad that the leveling experience was just completely demolished in the Retail, but the game just has so many layers that the onboarding sadly is just not even possible without it. Sad they did not a find better way…
I still have a quiver it's just a bag now
We do, still using it on my hunter on classic
Warlocks have soul shards. Idk if that’s still a thing in retail.
Or to say it differently: The game went from being an actual RPG to an action-rpg to lobby-simulator to loot-"shooter" with seasons.

Game got much to easy
Making Bullets and arrows were made by Engineers, which made them easy money at the time… Rogues also had to make their own poisons

Just a list of many things Blizzard screwed up. They should have ADDED an ammo pouch slot NOT removing ammo.
we all wanted the legendary bow because you didnt need ammo good times^^
I still play classic…. Where you still need to.

It’s the little things like this I loved

I miss arrows
Yeah I remember when blizzard fucked a gold mine for engineers who made the bullets and arrows for the hunters.
Cata was when WoW died for me…went back for classic but game was far too gone at that point😢

Just another mistake along with the rest of them
Good old days
