Recently Earl Boen, an actor and voice actor for the World of Warcraft Intro Cinematics passed away. After hearing this sad news, I decided to learn more about him and rewatch all of the original 8 Race Intro Cinematics from World of Warcraft Classic.

  1. Pretty sure he voiced the Post-Cataclysm trailers too (Up to Pandaren, excluding Allied Races I think?) if you wanted to watch those too.
I love the Tauren so much too, by far my favourite Race in the game. Sad they don't get to do more in the game.

Sad to hear about his passing.

  2. The intros to this day are still my favorite voice acting in the game, the second you heard them for the first time it disconnected you from real life and immersed you in the game. RIP Earl Boen, a Hero has fallen..

  4. I was not aware that he was a voice actor LOL, His part in T2 is extremely memorable for me. I saw it as a kid and he has 2 really unlucky encounters, one with a Ravaging Sarah Connor trying to escape and another with the T-1000 in Pursuit of the Connors. when I was a kid and saw that part, i was like: :O with the effects they used in that movie, for back in those days it felt intense. thanks for makin this video about this unsung Hero, may he RiP

  5. wait, the shrink from Terminator 2 was the narrator for the oldschool WoW racial intros?? i didnt even know that, damn. sorry to hear that he passed, i rolled every race back in Vanilla and then some, never knew it was him, he sounded deeper than he did in the movie.

  6. Damn, rip earl. I always knew him from WoW, but never knew he was in so much stuff. Apparently he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer last fall.

I know smoking isn't the only cause of lung cancer, but if you're reading this; please quit. Your time here on earth is very brief, don't shorten it by smoking. I recently quit a few years ago, zyn was a life saver. Try it if you haven't; it's literally nicotine salt and no tobacco.

  7. I get the impression you haven't seen the Terminator films (and when I say "Terminator films" I mean the real ones; the ones that matter — The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day). I highly recommend you check them both out!
