Following His baptism, Jesus was led to the wilderness, simulating the Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt. It was in this wilderness that Jesus wrestled with his Ego and found a solid ground in his identity. For many of us, we don’t want to head into the Dark Night of the Soul, but we are brought to it. But what if this wasn’t as scary as it sounds? What if the dark night of the soul is actually a holy place where we can be refined and learn to trust God in a whole new way?
