I came here just to see what bullshit caused me to get one shot by these stupid rets…
I decided to try ret paladin because I always get destroyed by them LOL and it's nice to be able to heal/deal good damage.
Just what I was looking for! Dusted off my ret pally a couple days ago. I like the crazy burst but the utility to help by buddies out if they need healing or protection
I chose Ret for two reasons 1. Nothing makes you pucker up more than a hammer flinging, WoG spamming, Tauren juiced up on 20 seconds of Wings. 2. Plate transmogs are always 🔥 🔥 🔥.

Since i got full 226 PvP Gear on my Ret, i am stuck at one minior question. Is it worth to go over 30% Vers (Softcap) or should i better invest my enchants and sockets in Haste/Mastery?

Ret was my second max level character in TBC and my first with whom i hit 2k rating and rival back in cata. Just so many font memories that i cant let Go (tho i hate how stupid and boring divine toll is)
I’m new to wow – played BFA and then came back to Shadowlands.
Having opened my wow account on a fire mage and not liking the fact I needed to cook abilities, I wanted some front line action so chose ret pally for those RBG healers bursts!
The owl conduit guy gives you a 3 sec stun when you drop 35% this is pretty huge against Rogues
I do like playing the paladin but never could really get into the class to stick to it

I have been playing Warlock (only PvP) since launch of Shadowlands, and getting nuked when a Ret pala finally connects have intrigued me for some time. Started up a pally last week, and actually really enjoying it so far.

Came from d2 hammerdin back in the wotlk days and been playing ret since, really like the support aspect of rets.
The lore made me wanna play a paladin. I have read most of the books. Turaylon, mostly in Beyond the Dark Portal and Tides of Darkness had a huge roll, his journey from priest to warrior and struggling to find the light and then when he actually does find it so awesome! It actually tells the story of the Silver Hand and paladins in general being created in Tides of Darkness by Faol and Lothar it was really cool, also Tirion in Cycle of Hatred … ect Wow has good lore.
Isnt it possible to play as night fae paladin as well? i know that divine toll is great for dmg, but the dmg buffs are nice as well, also other covenant abilities have cool stuff and better trees as well. What do you think?

and what stats i need max ?
I would really like some tips on what to do vs fire mages, Balance druids, and Ele shamans. They all have enough cc and burst to pose a serious threat when I try to engage on them.
I went Ret Pally because I originally made a Pally for a Tank, but got bored with it. It was endgame so I didn't want to delete it completely. I tried the Ret spec and it just stuck. Now I can murder people in PVP and it's a big bonus.

I was prot pally but my friends basically said be retri or we wont pvp with you.. Im now doing rbg. Lost my friends
Been playing Paladin since I can remember, started playing since launch, love the class it’s the best for solo pvp and has a good mixture off all skills heals dps and tanks. I love Ret being able to heal and deal all that damage is great. Thanks for the video really helpful I’ve just come back since 2017
