You should use soul rot first and then singularity so you will not have extra global.

I've got a quantam device, which gives me nuts mastery,
but even though it sims better than my glad proc trinket- I'm thinking the proc trink is better than the device since it procs more?
Is this right?

Affliction looks great. But i dont think my brain can handle it lol
Be careful with macroing your DPS potions as often in keys you need to use Invisibility potions for skips and if yours is on cooldown because you just used a DPS potion, you might screw your key.

Hey Bames, i appreciate this guide is for new players, but I had a question about something you said. As an advanced player are you holding PS for 15 seconds for Soul Rot on single targets on longer fights?

if you play affi, you can only go to the raid, with mythic + you are automatically removed and pvp will eat you
I've really been struggling with my afflock this exp. Not used to having so much trouble getting good damage out. I'm 215 and doing 14-15 keys I'm on par with other dps on bosses but really lacking overall dmg on packs meaning my overall dungeon dps can often be 1-1.5k less than them. I struggle to do 4k overall, often around the 3.7k mark. Been reading every discord, watching vids, rotation helper guides etc.. can't figure it out then I think I spotted it. I have 20% crit, 20% haste.. but only 45% mastery. Barely any of the gear I've been getting has mastery on it (lots of vers though – and no, not through pvp gearing), other locks in guild have upwards of 30% more mastery than me, and it really shows. Thing is, I can't do anything about what rng loot I get, and it's really getting me down. I feel like I'm a drag on the key even though my boss damage is fine. :/

Nice guide, but I would definitely appreciate an advanced guide that shows the ideal build to run for raid or m+. I think it's important for everyone to understand how they should be playing the spec at an optimal level. Add-ons would be great to include as well as they are extremely important to achieve desired results
