Ohh man thank you for educating everyone about the truth of hpal as 12:18. People complain about how venthyr hpal dps is so crazy blah3x but have never played venthyr hpal when AH is on and people in pugs legit dont care about popping personals
they should bring back chi for mw, mana tea, uplift and bring back fistweaving and increase the dmg

As a main healer, and former Disc priest player myself. Disc tears are some of the sweetest things out there.
Hpal will still be meta for damage, even if they nerf ashen to the ground. Unfortunately, it's due to class design, and only a complete rework might change something…
Mw is on life support atm, feels really bad cause I actually really enjoy their playstyle, fingers crossed for some changes in 9.1.
Agree on Mistweaver love playing mine healing output is insane, we need somet balance fixes 😀
I would love to see blizz doing something ballsy with healers and tanks make then deal much more damage, maybe at the start of the patch make them to heal more but the more gear people have make them more like a support dps, limit max has a video on wich he explains that on farm healers and tanks get burned out rather quickly so making this change would bring something fun and new to try out
it make no sense to nerf paladin with mana consumption tho
they can't 'burn' mana for bigger hps

I go into every expansion trying to see how dps will be for a healer. Chains of Devastation legendary for resto shammy is the best thing wow ever did for them. That with Chain Harvest…my new healer main for this entire expansion.
If they want balance between covenants (lol I know) they gotta nerf Ashen. I look at hpriest, and the balance is pretty well. You can be successful with any of the four. Having to go with one covenant because it's OP is bad design and exactly what they said they didn't want to happen.
i feel like healers rly should be more a support role than just a pure healing role. having the option to do more damage at the cost of a bit hps is awesome.

I really want to see disc priest being op in good hands. It is by far the most difficult healer to play optimally, so I think the good players need to be rewarded. You play it good-> op reward, you play it poor/decent-> you suck. So I don't necessarily say that the SS is gonna be a nerf as long as they ll add a buff to something else. It's my main and I don't see myself playing another healer.
Blizzard could nerf holy paladins? c'mon dude, we both been playing this game long enough to know that is never going to happen 😀
I've always healed since I started raiding, now I'm mythic raiding top 100 horde and do some high M+ keys but man, I HATE this healer dps shit. It is sooooo annoying having to dps to be seen as optimal. If I'm a healer, I'm going to heal. Blizzard needs to fix it honestly.

I'd leave ashen as it is but remove hammer of wrath from hpaala and move its holy power generation to judgement, there is 0 reason why a healer should have an execute ability that they can also use outside of execute
I think they should "buff" other heals DPS so they can keep up with Pala in M+. If you pugging a lot above 20+ everybody wants VPala that should be changed urgently
With you big time on the glass cannon aspect of Ashen, think it adds a unique feel to being a healer. I doubt it will be embraced, however, which is unfortunate.
Honestly I’m thinking about swapping to tank. I really like healing but I want to be able to form groups quickly. Maybe I’ll just go pally so I can do both.
If venth pala+ his damage gets nerfed every class going be playable
After completing KSM with my holy paladin by puging only i decided to switch from kyrian to venth because nobody wanted to invite me anymore. If i forgot to mention that i am venth in the application (even for non revendreth dungeons) it happend twice that i got declined at first, then got a whisper asking if i am venth and then they inv me. The group then actually knows that i can´t output so much hps and help me (without asking them) dealing with pride. The bosses are therefore really easy!
What's bonkers to me as a mistweaver I'm dead last dps in mythic + but legit I'm 1st dps in torghast in most pugs I do.
Back in Mop Mw Had 2 Resource (I may messed up the word) mana And CHI Why not bring back

It's gonna be so sad when holy paladin damage gets nerfed. It makes sense but damn it's been so fun and I don't see healers being able to do this much damage ever again.

I just wanna press buttons and do big healer dam while keeping my grp alive on my shaman, it felt awful during m sore prog i was in the melee grp we only had 1 hpal(kyrian) and we needed more dam, so i let him mostly solo heal p3 melee grp and i spot healed and dpsed because he does passove dps while healing already. I feel every healer needs that or no healer does at this point and im not mainly talking about rsham, because overall were in a great place atm. Better then we have been in a very very long time. I love venth hpal atm, like you saod high risk, high reward and when you end a big ass pull at like 10k dps at like 195 ilvl (hes a fairly fresh 60) and the grp is alive it feels amazing. Sure it was in a 15 but still felt good.

It'd be a interesting convo to have with you in Peak of Serenity for Mistweavers. There's a lot of minor issues regarding learning curve and such, which leads to lower representation (People tend to get discouraged if they don't understand how stuff works etc). Do feel free to come by and have a Chat with some of the Vets and Mods of Peak like Sweggles, Abe and Mistmeddler.
i think venthyr hpal hype is a sign of what goes wrong with the comunity. Sure it's the best if you wanna push the highest keys, or mythic raiding. But you really don't need that for what the majority of people is doing. I myself am trying to get all +15 atm. At at my skill lvl in pugs, we can wipe if I use divine toll offensively…. And I play hpal because it's my favorite class fantasy. So why does the community think that you need to bring venthyr. To get +15 in time as a mediocre player, that makes your live so much harder. As MAdskillz said, mw is easier than hpal to get your +15 in pugs. Why do people not understand that?

Really like the videos, but the “meta” hate for paladins in this one is off point.
Community perception is constructed around what it took for WF guilds to accomplish the race and what it takes for Ellesmere, Zmok, Midway, and so on to complete timed high level keys. Taking into account what 0.01% of what these players do in MDI, M+ 26s/27s, and WF races (which in this case cannot be duplicated) makes absolutely no sense.
Venthyr Hpal/Mad Para is a nightmare to play with lower level groups. It is not meta, it is not fun, and it’s a key depleting strat. It’s a high reward and even higher risk strat.
The real strat for hpals – that should be played by most people – is divine toll/shock barrier. You’ll average 2-3k dps in normal keys, you’ll be able to play ret in all pve/pvp scenarios and play prot as well.
If paladin is nerfed in any other way besides tweaking AH then you’re just putting them in the MW monk seat. Their kit doesn’t need to be changed outside of reworking or tuning down AH.
everyone complaining bout paladins mana. then we have the shaman hiding with 100% mana with top hps
i will stick with my rshaman i dint play pve last season full pvp, i want to start pve now
generally agree with your points on hpally and mw, but generally in raid environment it is really balanced probably for the first time, main issue with healers is huge inbalance in M+
i do really think that all healers playstyle are unique and balanced – but numbers is what make inbalance in M+
I rather them help other healers mana then nerf holy paladin mana.
I feel they all need their OWN niche or they all need access to the same tools. Make druids hps kings, make holy priests support (increase other raid members throughput), make disc damage reduction and shields, make holy paladin the damage healer, make MW pure single target monsters, make shamans utility. OR they all need SIMILAR hps, dps, damage reduction, utility. The disparity is too much right now and leaning too much towards pally and too far from MW.
I've been playing hpally for a long time, and currently my main is still the Hpally. Ive really enjoyed the changes theyve made BUT…. i agree with the mana being easy. Id rather see more mana consumption, and less requiring dps (crusader strike) to get holy shock to cd faster in order to heal.
