I really enjoy shadowlands. It’s actually enjoyable not much chores to do and the dungeons m0 are easier to get into
I enjoyed SL the first week, then by the 2nd week I realized how worse the grind was than BFA. Too many systems to work with, timegating everything and overtuned content, even consider myself geared. I decided to unsub and come back at a later date.
I'm surprised so many people are trying it out, a lot of them for the first time ever. I felt like there was zero hype for Shadowlands (more of a relief that BFA was dead), but I can see how the quality of the content and word-of-mouth could do a lot.

So, Blizzard has between 10-12 million subscribers. My guess that means World of Warcraft: Shadowlands and World of Warcraft: Classic really do bring in the subscribers. Dropping a new expansion and releasing the final Classic raid did peak the sub numbers.
My guess the same day sales number reflect less pre-orders.
I had a great time with conduits and legendaries. My best conduit i got from a world quest, my best dungeon legendary dropped first try and my best single target legendary i get from the great vault quest XD
After the abortion BFA, I'm giving it a few months into shadowlands to see how it is, which is what I do with every game.
Blizzard is probably using the Dominion voting system to track sales XD.
My guild used to have about 40 players online on a raid night. Currently 98 people online. We've had an influx of new and returning players!
I've been debating returning to the game. Here's my problem:
1: There's SO many new features since I've played (mid cata) that I feel like I'd be completely overwhelmed and clueless.
2: I was never a hardcore raider, but raiding was my main focus. Starting now and trying to catch up would put me way behind the curve, which is difficult to catch up.
3. The game in general has been up and down, seemingly more down than up the last decade, so investing into the game seems like a risk.
4: The community is absolutely toxic. Video game communities in general are just horrendous.
Including my personal life, finding time would also be an issue. I'm a clinical psychologist, teach at the local university, and recently received my LLC as a personal trainer. On top of that being a single dad, I'm already quite busy.
Until I can be convinced to play, I'll continue playing vicariously through these videos.
I'm leveling my 5th character. I have 7 more to go. But I hate the Maw intro. I hope they make it skippable.
I agree! Loving SL so far and I want to say its mostly because its so good that numbers are high, but have to give Covid some credit for giving us all an excuse to play again. Convenient timing.
Hi Acco, it's Sisyblade. I hope you are well. Shadowlands is good, no arguing it. I will be raiding this Friday and Saturday. Raiding is the only thing that keeps me coming back to the game after many years(12 years) of WoW. Right now CyberPunk 2077 has my attention. No doubt I will always return to old faithful – Wow.

If legion got the timing of this expansion would have been better, the infinite grinding is a serious problem when you want to not be kicked out of the raid xD
I'm pretty sure wotlk didn't launch at 12 mil ,it built up to 12 mil. It was the last xpac to have more players at the end than at launch .
New xpacs always do well during the 30 to 90 day honeymoon. The real metric is 6mo from now .
I'm not saying shadow lands cannot achieve this , just saying it's too soon for a victory lap.
Furthermore will the xpac after this be another win or another wod/bfa?
Because the lore is so goo–nah. The game is just fun again. There's no weirdness. No pvp scaling. No titanforging. Gear is just gear and your character is just your character. Crazy that's all they had to do this whole time to make the game good

Fact is blizzard does a lot of shady shit, but so does just about every single company you have ever paid into, from gaming to movies and TV to cloths to food, most major brands are shady, underhanded, and do questionable immoral things. You just have to learn to suck it up and not be a little bitch about it, because if you can't then your only option is living as a hermit and growing your own food, and your only entertainment will be stone collecting.
One point Accolonn. This year hasn't been like any other year in any of our life times. I mean the world has been pretty much shut down for most of the year and people have been stuck at home. Bored people looking for anything to pass the time will even try video games. So we have to take the numbers with a grain of salt. Honestly so far i think Shadow lands has best the best expansion since Lich king. I don't know where the expansion will go from here but i am really loving it so far.
My Prediction:
I think that the Jailer is trying to transform Anduin into a vessel for Death itself to possess. Imagine Death possessing Anduin and is now wearing a dark death armor and a dark helm of domination (similar to Sauron's helmet) along with a scythe possessing the same powers as Frostmourne. However, the change is that Death can use the power of the Light as a weapon to use against the Void Lords and Shadow itself. However, if Death fails to possess Anduin, it will have no other choice but to possess either a broken Arthas or Sylvanas herself.
Because Sylvanas is the face of wow obviously ^^
