Shadowlands fated trio – all final bosses

Well, not a solo this time, but having fun with friends !
With all 3 raids being fated, I had the opportunity to redo a similar event than the Antorus 3-man back in legion.

Thuralion is an excellent Paladin, solo tanking the bosses despite their tank swap mechanics and healing his party members.
Thyx is a dps machine, taking care of dealing a lot of damage to meet the dps requirements.
I did the strategy and planning, as well as burst AoE on motes.

For the bosses, I won’t go into a lot of details, just the important information.

We just needed to figure out he best way to kill the barrier – the shield has more health than the add, so we switched to it and had Thuralion heal too. Then we utterly destroyed the boss so hard he entered P2 at 63%, and Thuralion ended up dying because the boss got to P3 so fast he didn’t have time to get his bubble back. So an easy boss but a lot of laughs.

This boss was the hardest output-wise. We had the two worst affixes – motes, which are hard to stack with only 3 people, and soaks, who gives the worst dps buff. So, in order to meet the dps requirements, Thuralion and me had to optimize cooldowns around motes, in order to maximize Thyx’s damage. We had quite a few sub-52% wipes.
Also, in terms of survival, this was the most healing intensive. Not to mention the two affixes deal quite a bit of damage.
So it being before the pre-patch and with bad affixes, she was an actual challenge.

This boss was the hardest in terms of strategy. Hence why we killed him after pre-patch.
In P1, we couldn’t avoid him dealing 250k raid-wide damage on each of the four tank combos, since it requires 5 people to soak it. So we needed to have the barrier affix, giving us more health. This allowed Thyx to feint or cloak each one, while I could deal with 3 thanks to the new hunter defensive CD – and Thuralion bubbled me on one of them. Thuralion took massive damage though, and had to plan GCDs to survive each combo.
In P2, the issue was MCs. Thuralion equipped the burst trinket from the Lords of Drear to quickly break the first set, used his dps cooldowns for the second. If the third happened he would have used bubble, losing aggro and having the boss break us out himself with melees.
Also, the pillar break was a bit funky if the tank was too far away from the boss – hence why we didn’t have the third MC.
In P3, we had to finish him before he killed Azeroth. To be fair, we didn’t really optimize dps and cooldowns, but thanks to the pre-patch it wasn’t an issue. The challenge was figuring out how to survive P1 and P2, not dps.

  1. This is honestly so cool! This is a really unique "spin" on solo content with having a super small squad take down challenging raid bosses that aren't yet soloable together while still at the appropriate level! Massively well done and I'm thoroughly impressed at all the strategy and planning at play here to keep all three of you alive and take these bosses down! 😀
