This video goes through my thoughts on Shadowlands Dual Gathering – Herbalism and Mining. An overview of what I think so far in Beta, where are the best places to get Ore and Herbs and what class and equipment to use.

I will go through each zone, showing what I’ve found out so far where the nodes are an what routes to take.

  1. Damn I forgot about that whole no flying thing again… makes me contemplate even more to change to a toon that can use leatherworking plus skinning or tailoring plus enchanting as my main.

  2. I always level toons with Skinning and either Mining or Herbalism. It's just that there are always kill quests and many hubs with all those skinnable corpses lying around, especially when zones are busy that it feels wasteful to not have Skinning. I do have a Sky Golem but I'm not holding my breath on getting any enchantments day one. I am leveling a Vulpera Shaman first and that should be good enough. If I find a really good spot I can set up my campsite there. I wonder if I can actually get 1000 Deathblossom lol

  3. It's always a big decision for me at the start of an expansion whether to sell gathering mats asap or horde them to get a leg up in the crafting market. At least with the brutosaur I can check the markets on the move in SL 😊

  4. Herbs need to become a lot more plentiful. Farming 10 potions per hour is not a acceptable rate when a single raid typically sees 30-40 pulls. Multiply that with 4 raids a week and that's suddenly a lot of herbing. I don't want to spend equal hours picking flowers to the time i spend actually raiding. And that's just potions.

  5. idk so many youtubers are saying sell the ore/herbs… i have a feeling the best is to use them yourself to level your prof to craft legendaries and selll those for a muchz bigger profit…
