As in all legendaries? Or just the aforementioned legendaries? Vengeance DH has some shitty ones. Would like to see them turned up a little
It’s weird what they did.
Like you mentioned. They don’t actually need to balance the legendaries all that much unless they’re broken op. Everyone, regardless of their choices, gets access to all legendaries for their class. It’s not like Covenant abilities. So this doesn’t make sense to me.
They did say they went too far though, but the intent was still to nerf them.
beast mastery definitely not too strong right now, but the look of these legendaries and conduits has it looking like a repeat of BFA in terms of scaling like crazy later in the xpac
Also, even though I, much like everyone, dislike having 2 instead of 3 potency conduits because I like doing damage, but there are a LOT of cool endurance and finesse conduits that I'm now much more excited to use
0:50 Look at the search bar…Dratnos you sly dog 😉
Why have legendaries?
So next week they gonna introduce another system to systemize the conduit charges too ? God wtf is this , I wanna play world of warcraft not world of systems . Thinking about those things makes u feel like this is a Math class , let ppl change that shit u nerfed them anyways . Like how come Youtubers coming up with much better and simple ideas that work meanwhile balance team making more broken stuff as much as corruption or annoying restrictions .
Looks like the last part of this video, the covenant abilities not working in old content, has been reverted! Love to see it: https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/cant-use-my-covenant-ability-outside-of-the-shadowlands/668623/59
As a healer I despise the water change. Groups won't pay more attention to mana or drinking time, I will just be forced to do more pulls at low mana. Frustrating and stressful.
Since the abilities only work in the SL, maybe we’ll keep them in upcuming expansions.
Making legendaries boring might as well stop calling them legendary.
Drinking between pulls is why I don't play a healer. It's such a fucking slump in the pacing to have to sit down to drink for 15-20 sec.
But I'm assuming Off Balance applies to all classes when switching weapons? Good thing they "unpruned" arcane shot for SV hunter…
covenant ability disabled in old content? disgusting.
17:00 Gotta love that Degenerate Game Design
Paint or I unsub 🙂 Jk love your vids
I don't care at all that you can't use covenant abilities outside SL.
they are stupid a f
They made the semi-permanent conduits and covenants to sell more character boosts. Change my mind.
BMAH change is interesting. I just finished my mage and lock sets. Both of them were finished within a couple weeks from start to finish by buying/selling tokens and using trial characters to purchase the items.
Little bummed I won’t be able to do this with the other sets but I can understand the reasoning behind it
So basically blizzard is nerfing everything to a point of insignificance, and then removing a dps conduit to lessen the burden of the problem they created…….
Car crash in slow motion. Happy they delayed it but their changes are stupid. Merging everything to the point where nothing is fun, limiting gameplay and player choice. They want to streamline the game and take all the fun out of it.
Legendary to mediocre great.
Come on Dratnos, don't pull a funny face for the thumbnail, I know you're better than that.
thought they delayed to fix and tun their games instead they change and add more.do they know what they are doing at vlizzard?
fyi classes are still broken and the pve raid trinkets are one shotting pwoplw in arena yet they add systems….its not looking good man….lol.
I think Potency Conduit change from 3 to 2 is wrong direction.
2 Potency is a must choice for most of scenarios, 3th was a option for a player if he want more damage or utility/defence (in PvP for example).
Now when you are looking at 2nd row you always have to pick Potency Conduit path.
Dratnos, when you Ctrl+F a page and the word your're looking for is also part of another word, like "mage" and "damage" you can put a space at the start of the word to differentiate between them
I feel like the water change might be more for sitting for a quick drink in Arena and the Druid mount form maybe changes them from being flagged as not mounted to allow the use of mount equipment
Yeah, so the tin foil theories are becoming more and more plausible…
I'm very sure this isn't the case, but imagine if lowering the power of the borrowed power systems in Shadowlands is a stepping stone to removing the altogether in the next expansion. You know, reverting to the generally better, in my opinion, progression design of levels, talents and gear vs the current levels, talents, gear, RnG attributes on gear and expansion-specific borrowed power.
Any thoughts?
I think the instanced only thing was to stop rextroy
Dratnos, where is the MS Paint?!?!?!
Glad I refunded, by the way you can refund SL without ever making a ticket now, it auto refunds right there on the spot, look through the support options you'll find it.
From gamedesing perspective, here's unpopular opinion: "when something becomes too convenient, it becomes mandatory and then tedious. "LET ME EXPLAIN!
This did allrdy happen before with glyph system. At start we had 3 major glyph slots that added performance enchanting properties to existing spells, (like letting cast penance while moving). At that points glyphs were single use. So if your spec had more than 3 good ones, you might wanted to change them around to optimize for different content, so you bought multiple copies of those glyphs. Next expansion glyphs were added to collection and you could swap them with cheap vendor reagent (mandatory). Next expansion major glyphs were removed and most popular ones were baked to spells themselves.
If we can change conduits around without restrictions you can bet some1 will make addon that will atomate the whole thing and at that points do we even need conduits?
Edit: this does not mean I like the system. Just wanted to point out that there is point when whole system becomes irrelevant
It’s important that game designers don’t give players everything they want… it’s equally important that they don’t force players to do things they didn’t sign up for. What do soulbinds and conduits have to do with WoW? The game has been out for like 16 years and we’ve never had soulbinds and conduits… THEREFORE, if the system doesn’t work out great, all you have to do is delete it Blizz.
Does anyone else move their mouse icon atop Dratnos' mouse so it's like you're holding hands?
Hey Dratnos, at the start of the x-pac, you should do a version of the "weekly route" that is 'pug friendly' like not involving and kind of big skips or other coordinated play, a route that a tank can just solo carry the group w/o talking to anyone, even if it is a bit less efficient of a route.
I wish they would only slightly tune down the noticeably overpowered legendaries, and buff the noticeably bad ones. It just doesn't fucking make sense to nerf legendaries by like 50% or even 90% in terms of effectiveness.
Will there be a tank comparison viedo?
The Sub Rogue Shadow Vault change is such a slap in the face to WW monks. They need to make WDP not count as movement or just remove the jump part of it.
Punish the player, punish the player and punish the player.
(Wow devs)
"i dunno, i think this is weird…….and bad" -Dratnos 2020
I think its pretty clear theyre having a hard enough time balancing the covenant abilities in shadow lands, what would make balancing them in older content easier? If you simply cant use them in old content. Saves them a lot of time considering theyre already crunching and have now delayed the expansion.
For me it looks like blizzard took an extra month to make the game worse.
It's weird seeing people talk about how blizzard is creating problems that would just be solved if they didn't make the system so restrictive in the first place. Their goals don't line up with the players goals. For a day, just brainstorm why blizzard restricts players. I can think of a few that aren't "because they are bad at a game design" or "they just want to pad the game!!!".
Try allowing the average player being able to say sorry, I'm not switching because I cant instead of being pressured to rebind hotkeys and change playstyle for every different type of content.
The legion legendary system wasn't good, but at least it was fun, the items were too powerful, but that's what made them fun. This shadowlands legendary system is neither good nor fun, why is this system even in the game?
This conduit/soulbind system is too complicated and not fun. I couldn't care less about them. they're just a repackaging of the BFA essence and azerite system, which weren't fun.
My fix is to remove all three of these systems, bring back tier sets, and give us a new talent row and give us access to all the covenant abilities in something like a covenant talent tree.
Regarding covenant abilities only working in Shadowlands zones – maybe we won't be losing them this time around? After Shadowlands passes and the next expansion is here, maybe we will still be members of our covenant and can still come back to Shadowlands zones and use the abilities. They wouldn't be impactful on any current content at that point, but at the same time we wouldn't technically have anything taken away and it wouldn't botch the progression for new characters leveling through it.
Frost mages getting fucked over again. Awesome. Hopefully these further adjustments mean going back to how they were.
Love the genuine energy and interest you have towards the topics in your videos, you have excellent communication skills and it makes your content much more engaging. You're one of the few major content creators that actually have an upbeat attitude about the game. Keep up the good work dude! GO Bears!
