  1. I definitely agree with your assessment of the state of the Rogue class. I am a huge fan of Assassination and was never a fan of Outlaw (then Combat) and Sub. Now, Outlaw is almost a "must have spec" even though they only really bring additional AoE damage to Raids/Mythic. Assassination has a consistent damage profile where the player can focus on Mechanics and spread DoTs to keep damage going during movement…. which I feel is a very underrated function of the spec.

  2. As soon as you started thinking back to the good trinkets we've had, first thing I said was Soul cap and you reiterated it almost instantly, amount of conversations we had about that trinket is insane haha.
    Completely agree with the trinkets though, kinda bored of the game and it's probably because Rogue is my baby and even though I'm doing great on it, it's just shite and it's a hard pill to swallow man.

    I wish we had at least the WoD sub or have it fill an actual niche cause it just feels like a generic damage class that can't even beat aoe specs on st half the time right now and then absolutely trash in cleave. Assassination I don't mind it's just slow and Outlaw I felt the exact same playing it during some heroic clears that you're sat on coolies just waiting and it feels like a waste.

  3. i feel the same way about rogue right now. melee uptime being a big deal makes moving away from the boss really painful in a way not seen from the previous expansions. Mechanically rogue has to work really hard to keep up and still not even be worth bringing over other classes. Sick of sub's overreliance on needing patchwerk fights to keep up and outlaw's wack-a-mole slot machine gameplay with shit pirate theme that has overstayed its welcome (fuck the sword sounds holy shit). Assassination is the only spec that gives enough leeway without having to play out of your mind, but having to play a spec just so that your dots give you any form of consistency to make up for boss mechanic rng feels so wrong.

  4. Lol when you said about trinkets I immediately thought of soul cap 😂 sin with 4 set, class trinket and soul cap was mad dmg. I think with this system blizz are, in a weird way, having another remove reforging episode. Make everything dull and flat in an attempt to make any choice good, as history shows this goes very wrong and has the reverse effect. I really think an issue is Ian’s idea of wow is very differant to that of the majority of the community.

Im sincerely thinking of rerolling to a range at this point, maybe a mage, you can't fail with that , i don't see blizz buffing Rogue to the point it worth bringing a rogue in melee spot over the stuff DK bring, Outlaw is a pleasure to play when you get proper RtB buff, fell like shit when you have 3/4 rolls in a row that are garbage, i like the high APM rogues require but still

  6. I always played assa. Sub feels so lame after u run out of shadowdances…. Now i play outlaw to falling behind… rogue saw better times in the past. But keep up with your content mate 💪🏻

  7. Wow just feels not intresting and fun to play. As m+ player it is really really bad and getting into random keys as rogue is just not working out at all atm.

  8. All I want is not being pigeonholed into having to use daggers that look like toothpicks on my orc. Warriors got single minded fury alternative to titans grip, and frost dk can finally use 2H as well now. Why not Mutilate being usable with swords? If they don't even want to do that, then at least allow daggers to be transmogged into swords… daggers look absolutely retarded on my orc.

  9. As for balancing? I don't care about fotm or dps capability… as a matter of fact, I prefer the Vanilla approach of not homogenizing every class to be able to do exact same amount of DPS. This is a dystopian design philosophy of bringing everyone to the lowest common denominator.

  10. i'm amazed at how well you summarized my feelings since the game launched. As a casual you basically do 3 bosses in the raidtier you can and 1 key for a chest and then just… play alts? something else? it feels useless to put more time in if all you get is 35 anima per boss.

  11. I think Blizzard should bring In a vendor for PVE like the valor system, like you said. I also think they should bring back resilience in PvP to replace versatility.

  12. what I dont understand is how the fuck fire mages are allowed to be the best at everything for months and we dont have a single competive spec out of 3 dps specs, and please dont say outlaw, outlaw is mediocre at aoe and crap at single target, the crappiness of our covenant powers in beta and beyond should have been a warning signal to basically ditch rogues and play something else

  13. I could go into detail what i like and I dislike about rogue in general and the 3 specs. To spare some time, just two things that bother me the most:

    1. outlaw is very good in every PvE situation and you almost never need sub or assa. Both specs are very niche, with sub don't be able to multi-cleave on 2-3 targets and assa still won't be able to do proper aoe. Blizz could fix that with the next patch, but I wouldn't bet my money on it.
    2. Rogues are completly dependent on their damagetuning. No exciting or unique performance utility for raiding. I would be SO happy, if we could get something like monk or dh debuff, either the same or even better a unique one. Give us a debuff, where the target is 1% more likely to be critted for everyone and I am happy, doesn't even has to be that strong. But right know, you will take a 2nd or warrior (for shout), dh (darkness) or dk (AMZ), before considering a rogue. And that in a overall very, VERY meleeunfriendly environment. That's the worst feeling for me. I don't need rogue in general or my favorite spec (assa) to be in a top spot to be honest, I don't care if it's average; and I raid mythic. I rather bring something with me for the raid that makes the class feel usefull. I will never understand, why they took away smoke bomb. It was a tiny, but usefull raid-cd just like the ones I mentioned from other melees.

    SL is better than bfa in almost every regard. But the thing that was good for years now, that is balancing, is now so far from each other, I still can't believe it. ^^
    And people where crying because of something like 7% difference in performance just a year ago. And now see what we got today..
    But I don't gave up hope just know, let's see what they got for next patch.

  14. in previously expansions a few BiS items for PVP'ers would come from raids, they complained but tolerated it. In Shadowlands, ALL BiS items as raiders could theoretically come from PVP! I have no idea how Blizzard rolled this out, absolutely insane how they did not see it comming. Stepping down from Mythic to heroic raiding, and i am purely raid logging now, nothing else.
