P2 bis video is here. Out… slightly later, that I wanted, but I guess that’s true for all my videos. I’m very slow at editing, I can’t help it. We cover all slots for hunter p2 best in slot gear. There’s not a lot of prepraid here because, well, there’s not a lot of preraid gear needed. Especially since you can walk right into gnomer with the gear your got in BFD. I do mention BFD alternative pre raid gear, but we’re mostly focused on the phase bis gear for this video.

Don’t you need 5% hit as melee? That’s why I’ve been rocking the BFD set until I can get the new set?
I think you are being too harsh on the bloodlash bow. It was designed specifially to support a melee build, so our new spec has some viable itemization, and it's actually pretty damn good at that. They made it a high strength proc and fast speed so it is really good for melee and melee only. And yes the proc is an equip effect so it procs from slashing stuff with your swords. It's like a statstick in the range slot – it procs a lot and 50 strength (aka 50 M-AP) slaps! If it was an agi or AP proc, you would want to use it as ranged too, which would make it BIS for everything and less interesting.

Why are fists better than other weapons for melee
I feel like for horde pre BIS is def the swords from quests from RFD and SM. I played around with melee hunter last night with BM spec and i doubled the next closest damage dealer. I feel like it forces you to do the event to get that bow for melee hunting due to the chance on proc.
Blizz fudged the bucked on gear for hunters. You shouldn't be forced to use leather for either melee or range. Great guide though!

Why do you think the PvP bow is garbage in pvp? I use it and it procs all the time and i absolutely melt peoples faces. And ofc I'm topping dps meters in my guild. Cool video by the way.
Regarding the Head craft, is the mail 1 that much worse than the leather piece? you dont even mention it ? 😀
mail crafted helms sims better on any fight over 60 seconds more and more as the fight goes on
For the hunters out there: agility is always better than strength when given the option to choose. Agility gives your pet damage, gives you crit and gives you the same amount of AP (as melee) as strength does.
P2 is very meh imo. I just pugged p1 without issue, but i might get into a guild this one because pugs are useless when there are more than a couple mechanics. On the other i really don't care aboit gnomer and i miss being ranged, but wotlk spoiled me rotten with that version of steady so now with the fast weapons i have steady just feels like shit to use and melee is pretty dumb fun, but impossible to actually find a group as. And idk. Kinda hoped we would get something more akin to cata and onwards kill command as BM is always my favorite spec. Pretty nice that we can use the same talent builds for melee and ranged though. But fuck lone wolf. Now we're just gonna be flavourless rogues further down the line

If you’re not playing orc as melee hunter you are wrong. should watch dreadpigs channel as well if you are a orc melee hunter he goes in depth on pre raid bis axes or potential bis for orc melee hunters.
