  1. 0:38 he's right tho! Most of Shaman healing now comes from Riptide, healing wave fell short, so did Chain heal :c

High Tides nerf really hit hard shaman, no longer is it viable unfortunately

  2. 7:42 Cloudburst is kinda weird. Since the healing is spread, if an ally has 10 less hp, half of th healing will go to that person, wasting a lot
You gotta heal people back before it can focus on a single target like a tank, or try to keep them "at around the same hp" to prevent overhealing.

9:10 Crit also gives more mana thanks to Resurgence

  3. Emeni is best? I have Marileth just for the 3 potency conduits. All potency slots are very juicy, either big tank healing, swirling a must-have, and Tumbling waves for the RNG fiesta spread!
Plus, it also has somewhat of a cheat death slot, the shield that procs at 50% hp, over raids, I check self-healing and most comes from that shield alone. Unfortunately, the last slot is kinda garbage. Ultimate form is useless for the raid, maybe only usable in Council for the danse? or sludgefist after it pushes you back/dodging rubble?

they really need to add some PVE side to it, like "if not in a PVP environment, the shield can be side-casted (so it builds up while allowing movement and other ability casting)

  4. Good guide but high tide is also a very viable option. I myself play with the mana tide legendary which is an INSANE extra CD. You can of course combine it with ascendance me personally I prefer to use CDs separately since then I always have a CD option to use (both are 3 min CDs)

Playing Night Fae myself, that blue fox is a life savior tbh

High tide I only use in Fortified weeks.

  5. Being a resto shaman my self, since the beginning of BfA, i have a question about this guide.

You mentioned that the riptide legendary is good both in m+ and raid, yet you won’t recommend people using the riptide talent, that aloud you to use riptide twice.

Is there a specific reason for that, since you also mention that riptide is one of the most efficient healing spells in our arsenal?

    Just curious 🙂

  6. I've been using Bonesmith Heirmir because of his interaction with Ancestral Protection totem. As long as you drop it where you "died" during that 10 second window where you're still alive you can use it to pop back up. I also die a lot in m+, so your results may vary.

  7. I'm surprised, that Vuhdo is not on your guys list for add-ons, for classes like Shaman's where you can implement an triage mode thanks to Resto mastery (heal more at lower percentage). I have played a Shammy for years, and Vudho has really saved my hands but also overheating. Typically I cast a Riptide on someone at 75% health, usually, the initial heal (Torrent) will get them up to 90% and the HoT will fully heal them up.

Regarding rotation, you didn't go into detail on Tidal Waves, and why High Tide is such a good talent for raids. If you cast Riptide, you can the Tidal Waves buff, which decreases the speed of your new HS, HW, or CH. Typically this is used in combination with CH or even HS to make it even more powerful. Healing Wave is a great spell, but it's not used often, because of the long cast time and HS is quicker and heals more usually.

Ascendance is a very good talent but tends to overheat a lot. It can be used as an oh crap cooldown, but HTT might be better than Ascendance. Wellspring is very strong and replaces Chain Heal if you only use it once every 20 seconds. Icy Veins mentions that Ascendance uptime is very low, and unreliable.

I think for some of the talents, it depends on your quality of life and the content that you are going for. If you are doing M+, Wellspring might be an overall better talent if you run with a melee group, but if you have a caster group, High Tide might be better.
