  1. I have my own reasons for seeking vengeance. Jailer murdered my people and turned me into this monstrosity.

Overjoyed? What joy is there on this curse? We're still undead sisters. Still monstrosities. What are we if not slaves to this torment.

  2. Welp, the context of Sylvanas being a mostly soulless, heartless being up until this point does explain her motivation for joining the Jailer. The master of death surely had the piece of her soul that Arthas took from her so many years ago. The point they are trying to make is that Sylvanas was so tunnel-visioned into getting her soul back that she failed to see the Jailer's ruse is mildly acceptable, it's been alluded to several times that Sylvanas' ambition doesn't line up with the Jailer's 100% of the time. People expect fictional characters to act and think rationally all the time, but if I had a piece of my soul missing, and this person has the power to bring it back, I'd probably do what he says until I get it back. Sylvanas literally made a deal with the devil when she tried to commit suicide way back in WOTLK.

So her motivation is there, even if it isn't immediately obvious, something that has plagued Sylvanas' character. Everything she does doesn't have to be the most subtle thing in the world, Blizz!

But her realization to what the Jailer was actually planning feels a bit forced. As a character who is only allowed to speak in tedious, cliche one-liners and tropey dialogue, Sylvanas doesn't seem redeemable in the slightest right now, she just seems like a misguided idiot. And that realization that the Jailer was no different than the Lich King, whom she chastised for years on end, feels a bit hypocritical considering all she's done to the Forsaken.

I really hope that Blizzard doesn't make Sylvanas into a good guy being all chummy with everyone JUST because she has her soul back. Everyone has been too tired of her shit for the past 4 years for that to be a viable option. I think a tenuous redemption for her is possible, on the condition that she would make efforts to EARN the redemption and that she'd be written off, in a similar manner to how Illidan was redeemed. I don't think she should die just yet, if she did, she'd die a wasted character like how Garrosh was wasted (*Up until that cinematic in that raid*) But given Blizzards story telling, it doesn't seem like that's happening.

  3. ahahahahahahaha they are not killing her, i fucking knew she was to powerful of a character to just get rid of.
watch her marry arthas, after he saves her, when they find him and destroy the jailer hand in hand.

    this is story is shit.

  4. It would at least make more sense if he rewarded her high elf soul back and then she had her “realisation”.. why did she turn, try to shoot him and he rewarded her? This cinematic fuckin sucks

  5. For years now I’ve been thinking Blizz would find a way to turn her back into a High Elf as a “Redemption “ arc. I wanted her obliterated but I guess when folks like Christie Golden are on the team Sylvanas will always be around…

  6. Now Sylvanas can see her sisters and they will all laugh, cry, forgive, have a sexy pillow fight as Vereesa goes ‘Oh hey look at that pile of rope….” and whoops slid right into my fan fiction…..

  7. I had to watch this several times to understand him without subtitles for the first scene, so here it is.

    "At long last…
The final key… is once again MINE.

    NOW…. KNEEL."

    [sylvanas line]

"Too long have I endured the Makers' flawed design. I will FORGE a new reality.

Where ALL shall serve… (serve, serve, serve) ME.

    [sylvanas redemption line]

    "Pity…
    Still chained by mortality.

You did help return something stolen from me. Allow me to repay you… IN KIND.

I leave you to their mercy…

Come. Be the first to witness reality's… END."

  8. and let me guess, Sylvanas is left alive, even after everything she's done -_-. If she's not offed at this point, then both the Alliance and Horde are nothing but a bunch of idiots.

  9. It's like they made Slyvanas sound younger in this scene. Right after the jailer get she final piece it is not the same voice as all the other times. It just bothers me that it is not consistent lol.
