So recently someone apparently leaked that Sylvanas will end up as the Arbiter at the end of Shadowlands, posing as a Blizzard employee. Now despite the fact that this is more than likely fake, let us actually discuss this option.

Could Sylvanas end up as the Arbiter as the role of the Arbiter of the Shadowlands right now seems vacant and we don’t really know what to do with Sylvanas. However more importantly should Sylvanas end up as the Arbiter, what would that mean for the story and would it be a good or a bad thing?

  1. Do not bring Arthas again!
Do not ruin him like you are ruining the Lore of WoW.
Mmmm however, if this leak is confirmed I would not be surprised, since as is now known, Blizzard employees work drunk in their offices. 🙄

  2. The Arbiter is more of a machine than a being with a soul, it was probably created by the four Convenants after Zovaal's imprisonment. So Sylvannas could still be the Arbiter and only have the power to decide the fate of each soul, instead of having power over the Shadowlands. And since she is now whole again, it provides a good balance of life experience she has/had with the power to judge. I think that could work well on the narative side

  3. yeah sure if this is true i will burn my wow dvds. because sylvanas, as hot and edgy as she is, has never proven she can be trusted! why would anyone trust her the work to send the souls to the right afterlife? this is crazy. blizzard eat a snickers you are not yourself when your hungry!

  4. I wouldn’t be surprised if blizzard pulled a Sarah Kerrigan 2.0 with sylvanas.

I wouldn’t even be disappointed at this point, because this level of bad writing has been completely expected for years now.

  5. Of course, it would be punishment, eternal torture for Sylvanas. The Arbiter decides the fate of every living soul for them, has control over their eternal existence. Sylvanas has been against this her entire undead "life". Forcing her to make the decision of this would be torture to her. She even regretted the choice she made for Anduin. How could she be okay to make the decision for countless souls? The story needs Clarence, not redemption. We need to see the side of Sylvanas's reasoning for all the crimes she committed and the question that left for us should be "Is it okay to make terrible things to achieve what is good?" All we saw so far was the side of cultists who blindly put their faith into a system of their belief and we are their savior. Why Shadowlands and the machinery of death should be protected? All we are doing is siding with them because we think Sylvanas is bad. Little pieces of Sylvanas's reasons gave us an understanding of what she wanted. Which most people would agree if they did that with a better narrative job. Most people agree with Arthas's Culling of Stratholme, there are even people who are okay with Garrosh(which is crazy but I am not here to judge people). It is mostly the fault of the bad narrative, not the story itself. I agree that it would be a bad ending for Sylvanas to be The Arbiter because it would be a VERY harsh punishment. We need more The First One's lore. We need to know if the system is actually unjustifiable from the start. They need to give us more to judge the actions of Sylvanas. Also, most people don't seem to understand we never saw more than few seconds of interactions with The Jailor and Sylvanas. We don't know their hierarchy. Helya seems to think she was not the underling of The Jailor. He is manipulative, he makes their "minions" think actually they are partners and wanting to achieve the same ends. The Jailor's actions are definitely bad, and the moment Sylvanas saw that she ended their relationship. She never thought she was serving him. This way of denial is actually very realistic and done by every human every day but when you make this in a story without giving players reasons to pick that up it makes a bad narrative design.

  6. I think this ending would be best for Sylvans personally. It what she been fighting for every since she was turned. She wants free will and to give everyone free will. Ik there a lot of bad Sylvans has done. Everyone and I do mean everyone has stab her in her back at some point.

  7. Best ending: Sylvanas becomes kerrigan from sc2.
After her becoming god, she laser beams Zoval to death. Then even if she did commit all the wonderful genocide she is redeemed.
Picture this: Nathanos is sitting in a bar in Orgrimar or where ever all sad and alone, when suddenly the door behind him opens and the light glares inside.
We see Nathanos rising from his seat and blonde elvish (ofc) hair flowing in the wind and the sylvanas's elf voice says: You bout ready to get out of here cowboy? And Nathanos (now a living human): Hell, it's about time.
This is definetly original don't look up starcraft 2 legacy of the void ending pls

  8. For the sake of god, please not let this happen, it is so obvious they are trying to make an illidan 2.0, but without all what that means……sylvanas the favorite character of the plot ofcourse we wouldnt let our favorite character to get through a bad time, what she did it doesnt matter ofcourse no, it doesnt matter either that WITH ONLY 1 FUCKING SIMILAR TRAIT AND LINE FROM THE JAILER she decided to turn againts him ofcourse not…..as she always used to say everything was under her plans ofcourse guys.

  9. So hear me out Zovaal pulled out a blue crystal to return Sylvanas soul, the same crystal he used to forge Kingsmourne. The reason we haven't seen Arthas is because his soul was forged into the weapon to serve as punishment for his failure.

  10. I don’t know man, it would be like someone taking half of the good Doron out of you so you only have half the bad Doron. Then you do a bunch of evil stuff and then you get reunited with your good part and now your expected to pay for what you did? When the jailer took half of sylvannas soul, it also changed her personality, she didn’t just do all this stuff for her soul, I doubt she did it for her soul. If this story is right then I can see sylvannas sacrificing herself but coming back as the arbiter.

  11. What if it happens because the Covanents have demonstrated not every soul send to their respective realm can go through the same process, Take Mograin for example, he admitted that he would never give up his Past, but The Archon is willing to change the system, perhaps Slyvanas will actually truly change the system

  12. So hearing, «She has to answer for her crimes». But, if 50% of her soul wasn’t responsible for those crimes, does she? Is it really so simple? How is it fair that the good part of her soul should go trough torment because of what the bad, forsaken soul did? So simplistic to say «She has to answer for her crimes.» This Expansion is about death and what we deserve, and there is really no philospohical discussion in what you ste saying.

  13. Made a comment on this cannel in the past but I sorta called this, and I still got more of a theroy. So the idea is that Sylvanias will turn nathanos back onto the good side and get him to teach new players how to be shadow hunters unlocking the new class that happens every two expansion that we haven't gotten yet

  14. Ok so ILidan is guarding Sargeras and Sylvanas will be Arbiter fine for me. Just give me back ILidan in some next expansion I hate Sylvanas I want her to go either way, be anihilated (I don't think you can kill undead) or lock her in Arbiter form forever.

  15. Sylvanas was mindcontrolled the whole time, so why should they not make a redemption arc for her ? She cannot be blamed for her crimes because the good part of her soul was stolen from the Jailer.

  16. I feel like Sylvannas-Arbiter makes sense. I don't think it would make her as powerful as you assumed, seeing as the Arbiter has a 24-7 job of determining where souls go. Presumably, this would be a form of atonement for Sylvannas, as she would finally have the power to 'change fate' and assure those she sees as hopeful as her alive-self could continue to live infractured lives. But, this is also blizz we're talking about. Chances are they'll fuck it all up somehow anyway.

  17. Hi Doron!

Thanks for the juiciest videos about shadowlands. Regarding sylvannas becoming the arbiter, this maybe possible at one point. There was a vid from accolon featuring sylvannas book (although i dont know the link just remembered), showing there that sylvannas once dreamed that she will soon become the leader of the world (not specified if azeroth or shadowlands). Just a quick thought after watching the vid. I havent purchased the book yet but i think this may connect to the released post of her becoming the Arbiter. Also, she mentioned about choices from birth to last breath convo with anduin.

    More power Doron!

  18. I don't know if the statement that she wanted her soul back and that's a reason why she worked with the jailer is true. I doubt that she knew about her splitsoul state. She mostly wanted to have a choice in many things

  19. Of course. Sylvanas is fantasy Kerrigan, and her becoming the Arbiter is just like Kerrigan becoming a Xel'naga.
Having said that, Sylvanas becoming the Arbiter is the stupidest decision Blizzard could possibly make with her story.

Also I think the next patch is like I saw someone on the WoW forums say: "Scarlet Crusade 2: Electric Boogaloo, starring AU Draenei and Naaru"

  20. Why would you want a character that has been fundamentally important to WoW's story since WC 3 to end in a cliche manner just to get rid of her? There are far worse souls in Rivendreth being redeemed so don't know why people think Sylvanas can't be.

  21. Let's talk about the two real possibilities for Sylvanas' fate more openly. Will she be the new Jailer or new Arbiter? Dubious leaks aside, what do you guys think will happen, and does that differ from what you think will happen?
