  1. I think Sylvanas punishment is a fair one but why does only Tyrande has a say on this, what about Greymane? What about Baine? Saurfang? It feels like the WoW writting team forgot about the other characters that Sylvanas wronged

  2. The burning of Teldrassil doomed her as a character. Beforehand there may have been a credible restoration (not redemption) arc for her. After Teldrassil she was more or less Sylvanas Hitler and always had to have this fate.

  3. I kinda like this end and I am so glad since a lot of innocent souls were lost during the war.Tyrande got justice for them in the end, both Sylvanas and Tyrande are ok and unharmed. Maybe in the future they can work together and Sylvanas becomes the new Illidan lol.

  4. Do none of these characters have any emotions? All the characters this expansion have been so deadpan matter-of-fact with their delivery. How much more satisfying would it be if Sylvannas was given her punishment while kicking & screaming the entire time? No, we can't do that, lets just have her placidly accepting her fate. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  5. You know what, as painful as this expansion's story has been, and for as frustrating as Sylvanas' story for years, her final fate at the end of this expansion had so many ways it could fall flat and piss off most if not all of the fanbase.
But this… this works. It works for her, for what's she's been through as a leader and what she's done to the world as a villain, and it works really well for Tyrande as the kind of judgement she would bring to her. Sylvanas knows what she's done, bit she still has to face retribution for it, so spending god knows how long trapped in the dark hell she so feared all while having to painstakingly find and round up all the souls she's doomed and wronged. It gives her the chance to atone without being a halfassed redemption, and takes her well out of the picture for the forseeable future while she legitimately pays for her crimes.

I'm honestly mildly impressed and definitely relieved. This was still a pretty terrible expansion for a number of reasons, but at least it'll end with them giving a fair and satisfying ending to one of modern WoW's most troublesome character arcs

  6. I don't think this closes her story. I think it's a good penance for her to collect all the souls she sent to the maw, but then what? After she does that, she just wanders the maw entirely alone? :/ That's not an end to her story, it just feels blah..

  7. Why does only tyrande get to be there. What about Genn and his son. What about Sauerfang.

Why does t anduin get punished for what he did under the jailers influence.

Why did Arthaus get punished differently…

Man this writing is so horrible

  8. well the ogs are all replaced at this point , the only ones are thrall and jaina (and onyl thrall was interesting at first now he is not) they step on the legacy of a lot of characters just for conviniance and they ruin the whole universe of the game for the same of petty and ridiculus politics im glad verything i like about this game story is gone so i never gonna care about it again.

  9. And there goes Syl with a clean face despite everything. Danuser must be proud to see his muse leave without even getting punched in the depraved face for all he's done and still with the aura of someone regretful for her actions. A fitting end to an expansion made of dung, laziness, greed and arrogance. They say good things come from manure but with Danuser and his amoebas responsible for 10.0 I don't believe in any redemption for the game.

  10. this is the best thing that could of happened. no one wanted a shitty redemption arc where she returns to azeroth and becomes the champion's moody side kick for 10.0.

  11. A few thoughts of mine:
-I actually really like this. Despite the mess that was the raid finale, this is a great resolution that is consistent with tyrande’s need for justice while shaking the blind rage she felt as the night warrior.
    – why poor dori’thur gotta be stuck watching her… wait does that make the owl the new jailer? Jaili’Thur?
    – why is tyrande’s voice distorted? Did she choose to stay in the Shadowlands? Is she dead? That would be a disappointing touch to an otherwise favorable outcome. Ugh

  12. SO Basically sylvanas is gonna be the jailer but have the additional role of finding those who were not supposed to be sent there. nice hardly a punishment when you think about how many on azeroth hate her and the fact sylvanas as an elf basically lives forever and will now in her current form all that happens is sylvanas becomes infinitely more powerful and outlives everyone who hates her and THAN comes back if people are not begging her to come back.

  13. All in all not a bad ending for Sylvanas, and after all the innocent souls are taken from the Maw, she finishes her sentence and can finally get some rest? Seems pretty good!! Considering Sylvanas is a skilled ranger and tracker I bet she will save those souls in record time.

  14. Tyrande: So you will go to the Maw.. and send ALL the souls to the Arbiter… only then shall you be forgiven.
Sylvanas: You're aware I can fly fast enough to break the sound barrier right?
    Tyrande: What?
Sylvanas: I mean… it will be done! Oh it will take me soooo long… I swear…

Tbh I like this punishment, it means she'll be back within an expansion and if we ever have to return to the Shadowlands to do any new quests or to the Maw to find something, she'll likely be the quest giver of it.

NOW… when's Jaina's judgement for destroying the Zandalari Marine Fleet, killing innocents, invading their home and killing their King Rastakhan father of now Queen Talanji? Or are they just gonna forget about that?

  15. I have said for months that Tyrande knows where Nathanos is. And she has now sentenced Sylvanas to find him in a way. A bittersweet penance indeed. Should keep her busy for an expansion or two…

Now, What about the Night Elf refugees in SW?

  16. technically Sylvanas will never leave the maw. she promised to save all that she had brought to hell, and since many of them have already been destroyed, she will never finish her work.

  17. I mean honestly, that's really not the worst fate Sylvanas could be given.. Heck, we've already done 90% of the work for her throughout expansion, and it's not like she isn't already familiar with the Maw already. When she threw herselff of the Citidel, she had no idea where she was, and no way to defend herself, this time she's going in prepared and with a mission. And I'm also pretty sure Nathanos' soul is somewhere in the Maw already, so she was likely going to head back down there anyway. I can bet my bottom dollar Nathanos will end up assisting her in fetching those souls as well.

  18. Thrall stepped away, Garrosh turned bad then died, Cairne is dead, Vol'jin is dead, Nazgrim is dead, Saurfang is dead and Sylvanas turned bad then gets banished to the shadow realm. They just need to have Lor'themar take an arrow to the knee and retire and have Varian resurrected, you know just to even things out after another seige of orgrimmar ofcourse.
