  1. Hey, @xaryu can you make a video talking briefly how one should approach an arena match? Literally what you should do when the match starts, what you should look for, how to understand what should happen on those matches. I see guides everywhere about what should be your talents, macros, ui, etc but as a complete new player, I’d like to know what really I should be doing when the game starts. If not this kind of guide maybe at least some tips and comments about and the philosophy behind. Something for a person that hasn’t ever played a game in arena to understand the basics. Thank you!

  2. Xaryu I think that's a bit insulting to players that can only play say 2-3 times a week because of kids, family, work and real life commitments. What would it take for Blizz to accommodate probably long term customers, who just don't have the time anymore, but enjoy dropping into random bgs? I have plenty of time on my hands, but Joe Bloggs is up to his ears in diapers and a wife with post natal depression, working 60 hours a week at Gamestop, spending his hard earned money on a subscription, because he could not keep it in his pants….spare a thought for Joe.

We also then have the problem with rated where certain classes are left out because they are gimped. yeah it all starts out as yolo, and then get's increasingly elitist as the expansion moves on. Sorry Joe not only are you changing diapers while guarding the flag, but your enhanced Joe, gimped class Joe, go level something relevant. Joe levels a feral, sorry bud Feral is a meme spec, back to the drawing board. Joe levels a Outlaw Rogue. sorry dude it's Sub or nothing, oh and your gear sucks Joe.. Meanwhile his kid is 2.5 years old and he's still not got into rated.

I exaggerate but there are a load of Joe's out there. Keyboard turning gimped toons with nowhere to go.

  4. I don’t get the hype tho. Cool they have a working progression system which is like a low bar lol. What about balancing? The new systems replacing the old are still volatile and pve trinkets will just compound that. Also didn’t mention anything about honor gear so I assume it still takes forever to get it. So you’ll still be mixing in pve gear at first since it takes time to build up conq gear. I guess after that it would be pretty good tho. Assuming pve isn’t still just out right better lol. We know the trinkets will be. This also still just feels like some last second shit to bait ppl into thinking they’re not just gunna ignore PvP. But wait till it takes them the entire xpac to make any balance changes to broken shit lol

  5. Hey Xaryu. I agree that this is entirely better than what we had before.
One thing I'd like to point out, that you may or may not have missed:
The weekly vault rewards are guaranteed to be unique. That is to say, if you have 3 rewards, each of the 3 will be a *DIFFERENT ITEM* if you get all 9 rewards, all 9 rewards will be a *DIFFERENT ITEM*
    Why is this important?
Well, let's say you have managed to obtain everything but a new wrist slot item from doing all the content you can currently do, and you just aren't getting the wrists you need to upgrade. The one from the vendor sucks, and the ones you got from dungeons didn't work well either. Your locked out of raid and there's nothing left. Well if you only got 3 vault items unlocked – there's a decent chance that it wouldn't be a wrist slot. But if you got all nine unique items, there's a very high chance it WOULD contain a wrist slot item. You won't be stuck dealing with the disappointment of getting the same ring out of your weekly mythic chest for 7 weeks straight ever again.

This system is AMAZING for all types of players. For the casual players it gives them a bit more choice with their character and gear progression. For the hardcore player it gives them way more control over what items they upgrade and how quickly the progress and for the players in between it rewards them for doing the content they enjoy doing the most. It's a really big win for players across the board.

  6. I don't think it will be that big of a problem, but I really hope this doesn't but a bigger barrier between PVP players and PVE players like we had back in tbc through mop where people wouldn't be invited to raids "because they have pvp pieces"
